Women are talking and they are collaborating.
When we stand together we are powerful.

The Twitter thread has been restored and following on from this, I've also signed the Conservative Women's Pledge. As ProdigalKittens pointed out upthread: left wing, right wing, neither matters when our sex-based rights are being eroded. On this, we are united.

I have started complaining to Twitter when I see nasty comments towards feminists by TRAs, because it's hateful towards a person with a protected characteristic (sex) So far they have upheld my complaints. If we all start doing it, we will chip away. Smile

if they really have now proved beyond doubt that they Twitter is a bunch of politically captured misogynists without ethics, bent on stamping out rights for women?

I was banned yesterday for accidentally referring to a TW as “he” in a conversation with someone else. I didn’t communicate directly with the TW, I didn’t threaten, harass or incite violence towards them. But I referred to them in a tweet to someone else automatically/subconsciously as “he” (because they were displaying male pattern behaviour, acting in a very misogynistic way, and were clearly male in their photo) and bang! I’m suspended, presumably because said TW went running to Twitter complaining of literal violence, hate speech and all that shit.

So I think we know the answer to that one Michelle

Ooh and the whole 'most oppressed group ever' badge is nicely proven to belong to the ones being deleted and prevented from talking about their rights. That would be women. And only the female type, oddly enough. It's like sex really does matter when it comes to oppression.

Michelleoftheresistance · 08/03/2020 09:52

Well that makes it very easy to publicly evidence that the political TRA lobby is quite straightforwardly against women having equality, equal rights, or even basic civil rights. It is a very open anti-woman, misogynist organisation. Useful for the press, so thanks for that knee jerk piece of hatred and suppression TRAs. Smile

One wonders if Twitter ever rushes in like this to protect other groups from knowing about people wanting rights - say UKIP from organisations tweeting about BAME rights, or if they really have now proved beyond doubt that they Twitter is a bunch of politically captured misogynists without ethics, bent on stamping out rights for women? Press, please do look into this, it would be most interesting to see if any other group are not allowed to name or defend their rights.

That Twitter link shows only a few responses, all of them saying things like "Glad we’re supporting all women and girls, whether cis or trans" and
"Support all women! Including cis women!"

I'm not very Twitter-savvy but it sounds as if the thread has been hikacked?

MrsSnippyPants · 08/03/2020 09:06

All women as in members of the parties mentioned and non-members, and indeed non-politically engaged women. Adult human females.
Thanks for the supportive comments and thanks to those who signed. During the few hours sleep we managed the account was censored and there were TRA attacks.
Just getting things up and running again.

I thought Id seen a different petition earlier this morning with more info in it. Has the petition been changed or are there 2? Im confused.

midgebabe · 08/03/2020 08:52

All women...as opposed to partially women, like in the mind only?

Awning10 · 08/03/2020 08:47

Thanks, now following on Twitter.

Justhadathought · 08/03/2020 08:46

There is an independent women's drop-in health centre where I live. Recently the the word 'ALL ' was added to the existing lettering on the window. So rather than just saying 'Health Centre for Women' it now says " Health Centre For All women'. We know what that means.

2Rebecca · 08/03/2020 08:44

I signed it but couldn't see how to make a comment. I think Ive had this problem with change before. The initial screen just wants name and email then it's clicking through the wanting money and sharing screens and I never see the add a comment bit

littlbrowndog · 08/03/2020 08:42

hackles

Justhadathought · 08/03/2020 08:40

Or is that just the comments below on the twitter thread ( CIS etc)?

Whenever I see "ALL" women these days - it gets my heckles up because I know what it implies.

Justhadathought · 08/03/2020 08:37

However, it includes trans women in the category of women and use the prefix CIS - not something I can support

Languishingfemale · 08/03/2020 08:35

Good to see this.
There are more of us than you think

TheMagiciansMewTwo · 08/03/2020 08:25

What does ALL women mean in this context?

PaleBlueMoonlight · 08/03/2020 07:34

Could this grouping be something that women outside of politics can register support for (aside from petitions)?

MmeAlice · 08/03/2020 07:25

Looks like you've put the wind up them! Signed.

mcduffy · 08/03/2020 07:24

It says restricted if I use the web rather than third party app. Can still click through though!

rogdmum · 08/03/2020 07:14

This is what I see if I go to the account:
