Chiquito choose frida kahlo as their face of IWD

I'm pleased :)
They do offer 17% off for 'anyone with a voucher' but I can forgive them that. Might go this weekend.

I love, love, love Chiquitos and went there for my birthday last year. It was grim. There were lots of flies (around 50) flying around, resting on the walls, on the bar... We were sat right in front of the bar and I eventually had to ask them to remove their soaking cloths from the bar because the flies were being attracted to the sweet liquids soaked into them Envy .

Agree lazy face. Dh and I first went 20 years ago and thought I was well sophisticated. Then it came up north and was all downhill from there! It's OK but nothing special. But I am still happy they picked a woman who as far as I know has nothing to do with trans.

I have been to a Chiquito's. It wasn't as good as Wahacca but was cheap and cheerful and we were very hungry.

And I'm still impressed by their promoting Frida Kahlo.

I think Chiquito's food really isn't great. Their standards have dropped a lot a few years ago.

Actually I've just muddled up with Wahacca but still good on Chiquito for choosing Kahlo.

I've only been once to a branch near The Old Vic but the food was great. I also really like that you can pay and tip using their app- thus avoiding the perennial end of meal spoiler of "can I please, please, please have the bill"

An aside- there was a thread on AIBU recently from a poster who was worried about her boyfriend's obsession with Frida Kahlo- to the point he wanted her to dress and wear her hair like Kahlo. The poster sounded very sweet and genuine- I wonder what happened.

I love proper churros! The Spanish deli near me bloody well changed to a halal cafe - no more churros for me!

It was my first visit today so I've only tried one thing, but their vegan fajitas are amazing, and I'm fussy. I was stuffed and that was after a swim, and I have a huge appetite. They also didn't seem to mind me feeding my 2 year old some of the unlimited tortilla wraps instead of buying him a meal which he wouldn't eat Grin

Chiquitos is great on Tuesday and Wednesday with their two for one deal with the Meerkat deal.

Thir churros are also amazing.

I think they are real.. I don't think many people will be interested in entering especially as it's a particular design rather than letting you choose your own!

I’ve never been - but may make a special trip. After being exposed to Starbucks twaddle yesterday it will be nice to see something positive. They aren’t giving anything to any dodgy charities are they? 🤨

Was there for lunch today and was pleased that they use the words "woman" and "female" on the promotional cards with no other nonsense!
