Morgane Oger officially succeeds in getting a rape relief centre defunded

And tweets that they are 'a supremacist organization with a purity test on womanhood'.

A reminder that:

  • Morgane Oger is a transwoman and there are various allegations about them stalking women.
  • Vancouver Rape Relief has been defunded because it refused to admit people with penises.

This is who liberal feminist academics are enabling by pretending that biology doesn't exist

I'm not sure I've ever met a woman who has no compassion whatsoever for rape survivors.

If this person wants others to believe they're a woman, maybe it'd be more convincing if they at least pretended to care. Angry

I survived rape. Funnily enough, the only people I've ever spoken about if to who thought it wasn't a big deal were sexually aggressive men... Hmm

I'm not sure. I don't think the law is that clear cut as VRR won their Supreme Court case in 2007 and I don't think that has necessarily been completely superseded by C-16.

Any Canadian law experts here?

One thing always surprises me about Oger is that I'm not sure I've seen a more terrible person, and I've met some really awful people. Just gets worse with time

No problem, I just wanted to make the point that they fought the court case in the Canadian justice system for 12 long years. And that was only the beginning of it for them.

Now anyone who even puts up a fundraising poster for them gets jumped on by TRAs including the loathsome Oger. A woman who owned an artisan sweet shop did and TRAs ran a campaign to ruin her business. Then of course there are the dead rats and abusjve and threatening graffiti.

To be fair to Oger, that is purely application of the law.

It is, as far as I can tell, illegal in Canada for rape centres to exclude anyone who says they are a woman.

It's the logical appliation of self ID. A wee illustration of what the SNP are proposing to bring to us.

Lots of men fetishise rape, and some of them are fetishistic cross-dressers. Any man who wants to enable men to self-identify in settings such as rape crisis centres should be treated with suspicion.

VRR has been under attack since 2002

It was a little bit earlier than that - in the mid 90s. They finally won at the Supreme Court in 2007, 12 years later. TRAs have been gunning for them since then.

I question the motives of people who purposely get rape centres defunded, the males who insist on using women’s changing rooms, and the males competing in women’s sport because it’s “their human right “.
