Met Police officer videos toilets at work for Mermaids

She's only been on Twitter for less than two weeks - she also says she's a women's coordinator for the Met - but her timeline is all pro trans tweets including praise for Peter Tatchell, support for 'rainbow crossings' and made up stats that '89% of trans people have considered suicide in the last year(!)'.

But most disturbingly, she's made various videos, seemingly for Mermaids as she's tagged them into her posts, of the men's and women's toilets where she works. She's said the point of these videos is to show what's in the toilets so trans people can feel included - THIS IS NOT WHAT A POLICE OFFICER SHOULD BE DOING.

Why isn't she doing her bloody job?

This is her job now, the police are now at the beck and call of a lobby group and will even take inappropriate videos if asked to.

Why has she tweeted the hashtag #chemsex? Doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that the Police should be promoting.

TheQueef · 23/02/2020 12:39

Whut?
Why isn't she doing her bloody job?
Also what's Ramadan got to do with owt or is Muslim?

BovaryX · 23/02/2020 12:38

Maybe some helpful citizen could alert the Mail? This yoke is a fucking disgrace (I’d say a disgrace to the uniform if it didn’t make me sound like my own granny)
Grin I agree about the Daily Mail. She is being paid to protect the public from criminals. Not photograph cop toilets for lobbyists.

10FrozenFingers · 23/02/2020 12:38

It's very creepy behaviour.I wonder if her bosses know.

BovaryX · 23/02/2020 12:36

Amazing given all their budget constraints and inability to investigate crimes that harm people - burglary, theft, car crime etc

It's frickin outrageous. WTF is going on with the police? These idiotic antics whilst public confidence in them to do their freaking job is at an all time low? It's contemptible.

Languishingfemale · 23/02/2020 12:32

What a lot of police time she's spending on rainbow issues. And showcasing so many other police officers doing the same. Amazing given all their budget constraints and inability to investigate crimes that harm people - burglary, theft, car crime etc. Hmm

74NewStreet · 23/02/2020 12:31

Just had a scout through her Twitter account. The love for Peter Tatchell is quite disturbing Hmm

BringbackLang · 23/02/2020 12:27

Should say in response to that tweet

Chiochan · 23/02/2020 12:27

Purity spiral.

BringbackLang · 23/02/2020 12:27

Can't believe that some idiot has written the comment 'what sex based rights do
Women have?' FML.

allmywhat · 23/02/2020 12:25

I'm guessing bogs, sinks, dryers, doors, bins.

also a shower cubicle to "get your bits and bobs out" according to Officer Obvious!

That "bits and bobs" was an odd moment. I have to say the whole thing set off my creep radar in a way I don't normally experience with women.

Chiochan · 23/02/2020 12:22

Seemingly sensible people doing things that, to any unbiased outside observer, are unhinged, to prove they are more devoted than the next accolite is what happens in a cult.

She has a look in her eye of desperation mixed with anticipation of all the prase she thinks she is about to recieve, like a trained dog or abused child, its something I never thought Id see but am seeing more and more.

BovaryX · 23/02/2020 12:22

Yes HandsOffMyRights
This should be reported to Fair Cop

HandsOffMyRights · 23/02/2020 12:19

Take screenshots, forward to Fair Cop.This is disturbing behaviour.

Changename5000 · 23/02/2020 12:17

Just shocking, I hope someone reports to her Chief Constable

74NewStreet · 23/02/2020 12:16

marvellousnightforamooncup · 23/02/2020 12:14

Iim sure most trans people would realise what's in a toilet all by themselves. I'm guessing bogs, sinks, dryers, doors, bins.

BovaryX · 23/02/2020 12:14

this person should not be a police officer

I hope this is reported in the Daily Mail. Public confidence in the police is at an all time low. Is it any surprise when cops are obediently taking pictures of their own toilets to send to a political lobby group?

ifonlyus · 23/02/2020 12:13

What on earth? Why? Who does this help? Hmmm, perhaps a predatory man who will be thrilled to have had someone else scope out the layout of the toilets before they enter.

allmywhat · 23/02/2020 12:07

She's said the point of these videos is to show what's in the toilets so trans people can feel included

WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING HERE.

Did a trans person tell her that they would feel included and validated if she could video her work toilets for them? Hmm

this person should not be a police officer.

BringbackLang · 23/02/2020 12:01

It is political and she shouldn't be doing it. Another glaring example of why the public don't trust the police anymore.

BadgertheBodger · 23/02/2020 12:00

What the fuck?! What on earth has Ramadan got to do with toilets?

For crying out loud

RunSkipJump · 23/02/2020 12:00

Wtf?
It was a shit video anyway - you couldn't see the toilet block as her face took up most of the screen.
Why are professions, with supposedly intelligent people, involved in this?

jadefinch · 23/02/2020 11:59

She's also tweeted that it's not OK to ask someone what their former name was, as this is 'transphobic'.

Think of all the criminals who have evaded capture by changing their name. Think of Jill Dando - the reason why the forensics on Barry George were useless was because it took them years to arrest him because they didn't realise he was the same person they were looking for, because he'd changed his name. Two years of the investigation was wasted because of this.

So that's a police officer telling people that they can't do something that's perfectly legal - even though it's a tactic used by criminals to get away with committing crimes.
