Well, not branded as story hour, but the drag queen is reading a story to primary school children... Brought in by an MP (Mhairi Black)

“Thank you to Flow and @MhairiBlack for sharing their experiences with us today. It was really important to hear about Section 28 and the negative effect it had. Thankfully now we teach #LGBTEducation proudly at @Glencoats_PS #LGBTQProud @LGBTYS @LGBTHistoryScot”

A trans drag queen shows what a nonsense TWAW is.

Especially as according to the Times article this person appears to call themselves Nathan still.

testing987654321 · 24/02/2020 23:13

but she added that the visit would not have gone ahead if the sexual nature of Mullen’s stage persona had been known in advance.

It is unclear how the primary school children had become aware of a drag queen called “Flow Job” and came to invite the performer.

Brilliantly understated.

Aesopfable · 24/02/2020 23:13

The NSPCC ad where a child is fallen through the air then gets rescued by a benign looking middle aged woman - I wonder why they didn’t use a man in a rubber fetish suit instead? 🤔

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 24/02/2020 23:13

Flowjob says they live their life "as a female". Now, I had an enjoyably misspent youth, but in my experience living as a female does not involve taking pictures of oneself simulating the act of sticking one's fingers up a mate's arse as said mate reclines on a fast food outlet's counter. Or any of the other stuff on Flowjob's social media accounts. So, what does this person think "living as a female" means, and what does that tell us about a. what message they might give to children about what "living as a female" means and b. whether it is wise to have someone who thinks that "living as a female" means whatever Flowjob thinks it does presented to kids as a role model who they should learn from.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/02/2020 23:12

You're sure it was age appropriate? How and why have you arrived at this conclusion?

I think Tom was just describing the comments.

A trans drag queen shows what a nonsense TWAW is. After all if TWAW and a TW can be a drag queen then women can be drag queens so I could be a drag queen, apart from the fact that I can't because I'd just be a woman in a sequinned frock singing and the whole point of drag queens is that they are males acting a parody of extreme femininity. Females acting extreme femininity would just look like we're all going to a dinner dance or something.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 24/02/2020 23:05

He's a gay man not trans.

According to their twitter feed they are trans.

This is a Primary school. Children definitely need to learn about tolerance and inclusion, that same sex relationships are normal and not in any way odd or strange.
They don't NEED to be groomed, this is grooming of the highest order. It's fucking disgraceful that an MP is supporting this grooming.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 24/02/2020 22:53

People who give themselves names like FlowJob think women are a smutty joke, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they get very angry when reminded that we're people with opinions of our own.

fascinated · 24/02/2020 22:50

Is ‚Flow‘ supposed to be a reference to periods? Grim, if so.

Binterested · 24/02/2020 22:50

You have to assume though that the NSPCC do actually want to protect children. Surely some of them care? They are not all pushing a ludicrous ideology for nefarious purposes ? It’s those people that must actually be thick. They want to do the right thing but have no critical thinking skills. Otherwise I can’t explain it.

NeurotrashWarrior · 24/02/2020 22:47

Omg so this Flowjob has just been wandering into the women's loos?

He's a gay man not trans.

(Clearly says so on Instagram)

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 24/02/2020 22:46

I'm not convinced it's stupidity so much as it's a deliberate attempt to manipulate public responses and silence critics.

Binterested · 24/02/2020 22:45

NSPCC cried homophobia as well when people protested about rubberman.

How are such utterly thick people becoming MPs and running national charities?

TorkTorkBam · 24/02/2020 22:45

Oops wrong link. This is in The Times

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 24/02/2020 22:43

RE Flowjob's history of being hostile to women, is anyone surprised? When you look at the shouty people pushing to erode appropriate boundaries it's a. a rather small group of names that come up over and over again and b. always accompanied by weapons grade misogyny.

Who's seen culturally speaking as the biggest barrier between kids and people who'd like to do inappropriate things to them? Who's seen as the group most likely to intervene when men want to take advantage of young women and girls? Older women.

Tombakersscarf · 24/02/2020 22:43

There's an STV news article on Facebook on this, loads of comments and most supportive of the act - I'm sure it was age-appropriate, they see worse in panto, kids need to learn tolerance and acceptance etc. I was surprised to see the comments.

TorkTorkBam · 24/02/2020 22:42

There seem to be more comments coming through on the article in The Times now.

and then is revealed to be someone who would have been happy to kick a lesbian out of a bar for wearing the t-shirt of an LGB organisation.

And as a man who uses women's toilets.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 24/02/2020 22:40

It was trendy to be bisexual by the time I got to uni. My cousin came out in about 86 or 87. Not perfect, but not the homophobic hellscape some would like you to think either.

ArcheryAnnie · 24/02/2020 22:40

Fucking hell. So Mhairi Black, the head teacher, and "Flowjob" don't understand safeguarding, and Mhairi tries to paint anyone who objects to this as a homophobe.

Meanwhile "Flowjob" posts photos of identifiable kids (location AND SCHOOL as well as faces) on an adult-themed instagram, and then is revealed to be someone who would have been happy to kick a lesbian out of a bar for wearing the t-shirt of an LGB organisation.

Bonus points for Mhairi going off on a tweeter referring to her as "hen", calling it "misogynist", when "Flowjob" calls people "hen" left, right and centre.

DidoLamenting · 24/02/2020 22:37

I'm just old enough to remember the 70s, and plenty old enough to remember the 80s. It wasn't as homophobic as Owen wants to pretend it was

I was at university 1977- 1981. There was a university Gay Soc. Tom Robinson was singing "Sing if you're glad to be gay". There were pubs known to be gay pubs.

Imnobody4 · 24/02/2020 22:36

I think what was said about Aimee Challenor i.e. not only did they not understand safeguarding they were not capable of understanding it, applies to Mhairi Black too. It is a dismal performance from a politician in a democracy.

McPeaked · 24/02/2020 22:30

It’s a small world. Do you remember the incident in Glasgow in January where a young woman was chucked out of a gay club, on her own, at 2am, for wearing a LGB Alliance t-shirt? Looks like Flow was involved in that too.

Perhaps it is all a plant to sabotage Indy.... Salmond, Mackay, this...? What the heck is going on?

Same as the infiltration of Labour to make them unelectable.
