Ah bugger, bold fail.

myfaceisbroken · 15/02/2020 10:59

Just say it outright *Amalfi" Grin

I'd upload a photo of my silky-smooth hands, but, y'know, new account image restrictions.

Amalfimamma · 15/02/2020 10:53

Welcome to mumsnet myfaceisbroken

That's an interesting first post.

myfaceisbroken · 15/02/2020 10:49

So Kate Scottow broke the law and received a sentence commensurate with that offence. Maybe. I dunno. IANAL.

But [shit analogy warning] say I have a grudge against person X, so I decide to follow them in my car as they drive onto the motorway, where we fall into line with the flow of traffic doing around 80mph as it often does, pull up alongside X, and take a quick video that includes their speedometer and their face. Would people consider my behaviour reasonable, would the CPS think it's in the public interest to pursue it, and would your average person think it was fair on X?

GCAcademic · 15/02/2020 10:34

willis always defends folk like Hayden and never says anything positive about those trying to fight back against TRA activist shutdowns of women's rights.

Yes, it says everything about that poster that their support lies with the person who has a record of criminal, including violent, activity. We know very well that their distaste for mean words on Twitter won't extend to supporting Caroline Farrow, because, after all, her harassers belong to the sacred caste of transactivists.

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 15/02/2020 10:23

Repeating both of Michelle’s excellent points because they should be shouted from the rooftops.

The heart of this issue seems to repeatedly come back to "how dare you say no to me".

In effect this was about someone stalking and digging and intentionally searching for any evidence that someone was still on Twitter under another name and wanting the person punished for having escaped their control.

Ugly. Really ugly stuff. But very classic of much behaviour women come to MN for help in escaping.

It’s really very ugly.

Langbannedforsafeguardingkids · 15/02/2020 10:13

I'm increasingly of the opinion that the CPS and the police are committing multiple hate incidents and even crimes against women. What they did to Kate (and her husband and children) was way worse than anything anyone could ever write on Twitter. So how's it ok to do that? If what she did was a crime, why is locking her up, interrupting a breastfeeding relationship, traumatising her kids, denying her sanpro not?

And if what Kate did is a crime, then how on earth have the CPS not prosecuted those harrassing Caroline Farrow - who has received far, far worse harrassment. Is it because she's the protected characteristic of female sex?

NotAGirl · 15/02/2020 10:11

Flowers Kate, if you decide you can face the impact on you to appeal I'll be donating with thanks

Kate - decent women support you.
Never doubt that and if more digging is required those same decent women will dig. Flowers

fuckitywhy · 15/02/2020 09:57

I can't read your post on the app Kate but I'm still rooting for you and will donate to any appeal. Try (if you can) to ignore the obvious trolls here. Hope you're dealing with this as well as you can Flowers

Tanith · 15/02/2020 09:51

“ No, but if you carry on doing the same type of thing under different accounts even after being banned, why, why would you do that?”

You’ll have to ask Stephanie Hayden that. SH has been banned from Mumsnet, yet has admitted to this behaviour.
Why, why would SH do that?

Amalfimamma · 15/02/2020 09:44

kate

As we've talked about privately I'm sorry you had to step into a discussion on a feminists board to defend yourself.

To the neigh sayers, these are the facts. Believe them or not, that says more about you than Kate

And as I've also said, anyone who claims to be a feminist and then turns around and says "scottow brought it on herself" will be shown for the fraud they are.

Love ya back and will always have your back and ya know it ❤️ it is an honour to call you my friend.

teawamutu · 15/02/2020 09:21

Kate, 💐🍸🍹💪

Tell us when we can dig. I'm standing by.

Kate. 🥰🥰👏👏

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 15/02/2020 09:01

Flowers Kate

Still rooting for you. I’m devastated that the verdict has gone against you, and will keep digging if you decide to take this up the food chain.

This could have been anyone of us. Thank you is not enough you Shero.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 15/02/2020 08:26

Sorry, read a tweet today - should read I saw it on here - not Twitter, my apologies

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 15/02/2020 08:23

You might not be able to be RTed but people could still screenshot, it's not magically completely protected?

Amalfimamma · 15/02/2020 08:15

Not sure what being protected on Twitter has to do with anything?
Yes your tweets may be protected but that doesn't stop any retweets/comments not being valid

If you are protected in Twitter Noone can retweet you. Only You people you accept as followers can comment.

Do you know why women go into lock down on Twitter? Mostly because of the threats we receive. I went into lock down because of the hate and vitriol I recieved for daring say that a only women get cervix cancer.

Immagine...... The info and facts have been presented to you. If you chose to believe them, we'll that's up to you

TheBewildernessisWeetabix · 15/02/2020 06:19

Willis, the reason many here think you are "irking for a fight" is that most of your contributions to threads are either non sequiturs or straw man logical fallacies.
I have no idea if your frequent claim that you do not understand is genuine, or not. Assuming it is, this information may assist you.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 15/02/2020 02:32

I'm not "irking for a fight" at all

Amalfimamma · 15/02/2020 02:13

I've just gone through her, protected, Twitter account for the past 3 weeks. Nada.

Are you sure you read it on Twitter? Are you said it said what you claim?

"Literally" does not mean what you intended it to mean by your use if it.

The defendant was Kate.......I imagine that even under an injunction she can talk about herself.......

If you're irking for a fight. Have a look what the claimant (The one your defending) has said in the past 48 hours alone.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 15/02/2020 02:01

All top bit quote, didn't bold properly
