By the wonderful Rhona Hotchkiss.

He’s now protected his account but basically said, your transphobic mates telling you things isn’t evidence...

I love Rhona, wonderful woman!

"Why am I reminded of a toddler having a tantrum?"
Because he has the emotional maturity of a toddler, and he's having a tantrum? ;) Or maybe a mantrum.

Lordfrontpaw · 17/02/2020 13:10

'I will not follow you (and hold my breath until I faint/scweem and scweem until I am sick)'

GrumpyGran8 · 17/02/2020 13:02

No, he's not going to change. Here he was, yesterday, telling Glinner's followers to unfollow Glinner; if they didn't he would be unfollowing them!

Times like this I do wish I wasn't on a temporary, self-imposed, twitter break. I'd seen that bloke around before he was gloriously put in his place by Rhona, and he's not going to change.

FrogsFrogs · 17/02/2020 09:18

I like the way he has downgraded her job.

What a woman hating wanker.

A surprising amount of men have real issues when women disagree with them. They can't handle it at all. I've come across this IRL as well from men who I know well and thought were ok etc... Disagree and BAM they get really quite pissed off. Hierarchy thing innit.

teawamutu · 17/02/2020 09:12

What a massive bellend.

DickKerrLadies · 17/02/2020 09:00

So, by this logic, I can dismiss any 'evidence' given by misogynistic TRAs because 'a misogynist told me', right?

Apollo440 · 17/02/2020 00:16

Nope. A Prison GOVERNOR told YOU.
Wilful ignorance.

LynnSchmob · 16/02/2020 23:14

It took him 24hrs to respond though. If you haven’t got a (albeit total horse shit) response in 10 mins the best thing to do is to not bother. You can tell that this mediocre male has been obsessively stewing over it. What a dick.

Doyoumind · 16/02/2020 23:03

As predicted, the beard just dismissed the facts he was given.

Fionne is great.

DickKerrLadies · 14/02/2020 09:27

It's almost as if he's asserting things that other TRAs tell him as proof and is confused about what 'evidence' means.

I'm reminded of a phrase I learnt on MN - may God grant me the confidence of a mediocre male.

Lordfrontpaw · 14/02/2020 09:15

And Dan too of course!

littlbrowndog · 14/02/2020 09:13

Yeah. Al that house hunting.

He is so lovely

Lordfrontpaw · 14/02/2020 09:11

I’m glad he’s back on twitter - I was worried he was feeling fragile at the end of last year but he’s back in fine form.

littlbrowndog · 14/02/2020 09:10

Lol at fionne
🥊💪

Lordfrontpaw · 14/02/2020 08:59

I love a good one of these. There was a recent one with Fionne that made me laugh.

GrinGrinGrin

Love it!!

Coyoacan · 14/02/2020 03:40

That's the thing. Some people might have a hard time conceding a point, but you would think it would at least change their thinking, by these beardies keep on making the same arguments on different threads, hoping that no-one else is able to bring any incontrovertible evidence.

I was on a thread this morning and an eejit kept on asking for evidence about the existence of detransitioners. I went back a while later and saw that a women had put up an article about one and thought, now he's going to claim that one doesn't mean anything. Then I scrolled down and she'd referenced hundreds of detransitioners in several different articles.
He never came back.

Maduixa · 14/02/2020 00:25

OK, so Twitter handle @Carter_AndrewJ (thanks, sexnotgender).

This prick will be back in two days, Twitter account as good as new, thinking we are like dogs who are soooo easily distracted - Here, boy! Here, here! Look, a frisbee! - and won't remember the misogyny this arsehole pulled. Well. if you won't remember -- then take a screenprint, make a note, and call it out when it is back.

Durgasarrow · 14/02/2020 00:21

Jesus just google it genius boy!

NonnyMouse1337 · 13/02/2020 23:45

Hahaha what a prick. He's clearly of mediocre intelligence... Enough to act pompous and demand answers, but not sufficient to actually understand what's being discussed. Got to admire the arrogant belligerence of such men. They slink off like the shit stains they are and pop up elsewhere spouting the same drivel.
Good on yourself, Rhona!!

Doyoumind · 13/02/2020 23:18

Well, part of the problem is that males are socialised in a way that means they don't all blush, apologise and learn. It's men/males that mostly keep doing this doubling down. The Labour Leadership contenders don't count as politicians are another thing altogether.

YasssKween · 13/02/2020 23:00

I understand about cognitive bias, but those who double down with obvious untruths when faced with definitive facts continue to astonish me.

Exactly! And don't they feel terribly embarrassed when they are proved totally wrong outright? I know in my life I've confidently said some things that have been challenged and shown to be wrong, I have a blush, apologise and learn from it. It's unbelievable isn't it that people who claim passion for a subject don't give a shit about the truth, just validation. Honestly I feel like I'm losing the plot with it sometimes. Just so often now I think IS NOBODY ELSE SEEING THIS?!

AnyOldSpartabix · 13/02/2020 22:17

FFS if he was passionate enough to attempt to discredit an academic he surely cares enough about the issue to want clarity of statistics and accuracy of information...
