FFS! Why did a she have to do this? It’s so divisive and gratuitously mean!

Mona E has drunk the Kool-aid, hasn't she? I'd been meaning to read her book for some time, and now I won't bother. One more thing crossed off the to-do list...

My feminist views are probably nearer Julie's than Posie's. But I still think that kind of public attack is unedifying. What good can it possibly do?

Umyeahnah · 17/01/2020 09:07

Posie is clear, and harsh and definitive and I adore her even though I am not quite as radical, nor agree with her 100 percent.
Go Posie. I luv ya guts xxx

OhHolyJesus · 17/01/2020 09:05

Someone calling Posie "gay-hating". Bet Julia Long, Julia Beck and a fair few other lesbians might have a view on that.

I love PP, I don't agree with her on everything because I have a mind of my own and when she gives names or quotes something on her videos it's often pre-fixes with "sorry if I'm pronouncing this wrong" or "I don't want to misrepresent" or similar. She encourages people to look up the correct info and make up our own minds.

Spelling a name wrong or mis-pronouncing a name is just a mistake and Bindel completely misses the point of the video.

Bindel is amazing, they both do very important work.

LangCleg · 17/01/2020 09:05

And.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

LEARN HER NAME

Julie: get a grip. Otherwise, we end up with all this shite.

Posie: I think the Revelations and Obeisances theme in Mona's current twattering is best ignored, if I'm honest. Otherwise we end up with all this shite.

Eyes on the prize wims; eyes on the prize.

This is the right-wing feminism board.

Thank you for defining us.

We will get back to you as soon as somebody is available.

BeyondFlubeInclusionaryRF · 17/01/2020 09:03

The heritage foundation decision was divisive, but Posie was not the only woman involved there.

The "racism" goes back to some comments on twitter about very young female children in hijabs. What used to be considered a feminist issue, back when feminism was about women's lib.

The "lesbophobic" goes back to some comments in a conversation on twitter about "transmen" having babies. A child protection issue from someone who says her primary focus is children's safety.

420 thousand views, just saying.

LangCleg · 17/01/2020 09:00

Hello Ofthread! I like your name! Very good!

Ofthread · 17/01/2020 09:00

Yeah, I know Julie Bindel, she's the one who's a massive bigot. It's the other one I don't know. Thanks for info. x

Hmm. I think you'll find many on this board are lifelong socialists. But many are not signed up for the 'progressive' Orwellian agenda of redefining words and cancelling free speech. Then there's Conservatives like me. Who have woken up to the existential threat to freedom being wielded by a cabal of misogynists. Your 'right wing' slur? Sorry. No traction. No sale.

Ereshkigal · 17/01/2020 08:52

I think this is a good point.

Clymene · 17/01/2020 08:52

It's pathetic behaviour and I thought better of Julie.

picklemepopcorn · 17/01/2020 08:51

But it wasn't getting far on Twitter, from what I can see.

Bringing it here isn't going to help it die down. Leave it there!

NotAssigned · 17/01/2020 08:48

So unnecessary.

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 17/01/2020 08:46

This was unnecessary by Julie most definitely but PP does have some views I vehemently disagree with. I still don't think working with the heritage foundation was a good move or allying yourself with some questionable right wing people.

Julie should have just spoken to PP though. However, it's not wrong that Julie disagrees with the way PP goes about things but name calling on twitter is such an own goal to TRAs.

Ofthread · 17/01/2020 08:46

Oh right, I get it. This is the right-wing feminism board.
Is it true though? Learning

BeyondFlubeInclusionaryRF · 17/01/2020 08:43

Posie, Julie, or both?

Ofthread · 17/01/2020 08:39

Don't know who this woman is btw.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 17/01/2020 08:39

Ah well.

We rasied them high... they have a way to fall!

Ofthread · 17/01/2020 08:39

What?

Aesopfable · 17/01/2020 08:38

Ofthread if you want to accuse someone of something then at least own it.

Ereshkigal · 17/01/2020 08:31

Did she do it while she was in the air? I saw posies post about being about to take off, then I see this post this morning!

Posie is speaking with Meghan Murphy in NYC tonight so I think that's quite likely.

Ofthread · 17/01/2020 08:30

Is this true (tweet from that convo): 'Posie Parker is a racist, gay & trans hating troll who supports Trump & is a member of Hands Across the Aisle in Coalition, an anti lgbt anti abortion org that fronts as non partisan but isn't as WoLF are the "feminists" of HATA & they are tied to ADF' trackingtheshenanigansofwomensliberationfront.family.blog/2020/01/04/wolf-and-adf/

BovaryX · 17/01/2020 08:30

RoyalCorgi
I agree. But it confirms my opinion of Twitter. It seems to be an arena for insults.......

Umyeahnah · 17/01/2020 08:29

It's a Julie Bindel et el problem at this stage, not a Posie Parker one.
It's embarrassing.
Posie Parker won 2019 and quite rightly IMHO..
It's snobbish and wrong.
Posie is my hero 💪❤️

Even if on opposites on the issue there is no need to be as divisive as Julie
