A policewoman involved in the investigation into grooming gangs has denounced police failures to protect vulnerable victims and alleges the abuse was going on in plain view. She wants negligent individuals held accountable

I want the law changing so there can be retrospective accountability for people whose duty it is to protect the vulnerable. It’s knowing and deliberate neglection of duty…[those who were involved] should be charged with gross misconduct - it’s criminal - where is the accountability? “I was face-to-face with 15 years of misogyny - ‘stupid woman, she’s become too emotionally involved’ - authorities are very powerful and tried to control the dialogue.

BBC: ‘Manchester sex abuse: Exploited children 'were not protected'’

Flowers rest in peace Victoria Agoglia whose killers have not been caught. I really hope her grandmother Joan succeeds in her fight for justice for her granddaughter.

Woman accused of being 'emotional' when raising concerns and bullied out of her job vindicated 15 years later. About bloody time and well done that woman.

Ex Chief Constable of GM on R4 just now. Speaks about the old target culture ("Our priorities are car crime and burglary") and how now, interestingly, the priority is the protection of vulnerable people.

Like poor souls who've had their feelings hurt by tweets.

A child who had been forcibly injected with heroin by a 50 year old pedophile and had reported her abuse to social workers died.

^Assistant Chief Constable Mabs Hussain, Head of Specialist Crime for Greater Manchester Police, said: “We accept that authorities fell short of doing all they could to protect and support the child victims of sexual exploitation identified under Operation Augusta in 2004. “Children should be able to expect those responsible for their care will do all they can to keep them safe and I want to apologise to all those vulnerable children who were let down. “I can only imagine the pain and distress they must have gone through, which would have only been made worse by these failings. I am sorry they were let down and I am sorry they were not protected from harm.
“Many of the children were subject to the most profound abuse and, although the review team acknowledged there was much in Operation Augusta and the work carried out by the investigation team to be commended, we agree the overall operation was not to the standard rightfully expected from victims^

Oliver's association with Wedger is cause for concern for anyone who cares about the truth and is aware of fake news

There's absolutely nothing fake about the police's failure to investigate promptly. That's a fact. She's speaking out on the eve of a report into police failures.

Well done to her for speaking out.

That's how we deal with misogyny: we speak out and we keep speaking out for as long as we have to. Forever, if need be.

Unfortunately Maggie Oliver has teamed up with a notorious self proclaimed "police whistleblower" and satanic panic promoter Jon Wedger as can be seen in this video

This is very sad as I had, for some time, had nothing but respect for Maggie Oliver.

Oliver's association with Wedger is cause for concern for anyone who cares about the truth and is aware of fake news.

I lack sufficient data to know what could have happened for someone as reputable as Maggie Oliver to associate herself with a grifter like Jon Wedger.

It is possible that he groomed her into believing his bizarre claims when she was vulnerable and traumatised following work bullying and or just the traumatising nature of police work with sexually exploited women and children.

I believe that Private Eye magazine have reported on this issue

I just wanted readers to exercise caution and skepticism for the reasons detailed in the links in my post

She's right. And I know was tireless in pursuing what happened. It's replicated everywhere. I've just watched the BBC programme on the establishment cover up of the paedophile Bishop Peter Ball (sorry for the Guardian link)
www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jan/14/friendship-with-prince-charles-made-paedophile-bishop-peter-ball-impregnable

Prosecuting those who were responsible for hiding / covering up / failing to take action against paedophiles would be a real warning shot for all those establishment figures / organisations currently removing safeguarding from vulnerable groups of children.
