Sexequality, dolphins are mammals, so the resultant surgical hybrid wouldn’t have any fish in it - would that disqualify it from being a mermaid? Maybe it could identify as a transmermaid?!
The remarks about a penis just being a flap of skin reminded me of the old joke:
What do you call the useless flap of skin on the end of a penis?

I love the hypothetical from the mermaid guy, too. That's right, sir, if you saw a lady in half and just sew half a haddock on her, you are definitely going to have a functioning mermaid, i have no idea why no one hasn't tried that.

I... I.. I normally have a better way with words, but I'm boggled by this notion that penises randomly appear anywhere on the body and are just flappy pieces of skin.

I mean, I know that these people have repeatedly underlined that 'science' means 'a really cool idea from a SciFi show I watch on cable, plus a pretty chart with lots of colours' but, still...

If a baby girl was born with a penis growing out of her back I'd expect the doctors to be horrified and arrange for the baby girl to have it surgically removed. I've never heard of a woman being born? With or without a penis on the back?
