Reuben adds: “I found it frustrating that people didn’t just ask my gender or not use it. I look like a man, have a beard.

Maybe the “giving birth” part rendered it pointless?

I do feel a little sad that they classed the baby as a miracle baby. Why? Was she born at 26 weeks was the mother over the age of 47. I've been told that my son was a miracle, surviver as he was born at 29 week's with a blood count of 1 and he is fit and healthy that's more of a miracle I think. Do what you like just do not affend women who have had complacaitions during pregnancy and childbirth. Again congratulations on the SAFE arrival. No miracle their.

Man and woman haveing a baby CONGRATULATIONS. Why wasn't that said in the first place. Why all the confusion? Female sperm ? Man haveing a baby really? I am just not shore why people want to put thing's like that in our minds. Getting pregnant and giving birth is a well known female experience. So is haveing multiple orgsams and making the bed wet. That is the best female experience I've ever had. I've got no tadpoles in my sperm.

I don't think there is anything else which so strongly makes you aware of not being a man - your breasts growing and producing milk, your uterus expanding and you becoming very aware that there's a person living and moving inside of it, your brain rewiring and changing who you are...people only ever seeing the bump and therefore only seeing you as a mother

“Women struggle with their bodies when they go through pregnancy too, so it isn’t something a trans man would exclusively feel.”

I just... have no words.

“Keen not to be boxed in to Mum and Dad roles” ....
Lesbian couple have sweet baby using a sperm donor.

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/12/2019 12:17

I’ve always been super pro gay couples parenting, Love is the main thing etc, but I genuinely think this is damaging for the child.

Giving birth ‘not female experience’? Fucking hell

Emmelina · 29/12/2019 12:16

So... woman living as man is pregnant via sperm donated by man living as woman?

ginghamstarfish · 29/12/2019 12:14

WTAF? woman has baby by using sperm from a man, and this is news? What a bunch of attention seeking tossers.

DryHeave · 29/12/2019 12:12

Becoming a mother galvanised my feminism. I properly realised the oppression conferred on me by society because of my sex.

MandalaYogaTapestry · 29/12/2019 12:12

This mother still looks like a woman with a beard, not like a man

DerbyshireGirly · 29/12/2019 12:10

Despite being fairly stereotypically "girly", I never had this overwhelming "feeling like a woman" (as opposed to just a human who happened to have so-called feminine interests) until I became pregnant. I have no idea how these "trans men" can stand to go through pregnancy if they are so repulsed and distressed by being female. I don't think there is anything else which so strongly makes you aware of not being a man - your breasts growing and producing milk, your uterus expanding and you becoming very aware that there's a person living and moving inside of it, your brain rewiring and changing who you are...people only ever seeing the bump and therefore only seeing you as a mother...I thought any reminder of their born sex was enough to drive them to suicide?

Sexequality · 29/12/2019 11:57

In what way is the baby the ‘non-binary partner’s? Did she donate the egg?

Cocolapew · 29/12/2019 11:49

🙄🙄🙄🙁

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 29/12/2019 11:49

It's ludicrous - emperors new clothes all the way.

andyoldlabour · 29/12/2019 11:48

""I don't think pregnancy is the ultimate female experience, therefore it didn't challenge me as a man."

"But they needed a sperm donor, so messaged a female trans friend over Facebook to ask if they would like to donate."

Is it just me, or is there an obvious and deliberate disconnect here?

HerRoyalFattyness · 29/12/2019 11:48

Holy shit.
This is ridiculous.
Woman gets pregnant with help of a man.
Hardly fucking breaking news is it?

Sexequality · 29/12/2019 11:44

How long before the baby gets 'help' from Mermaids?

If it is a girl and tries to knock a scratchy, irritating hair clip out of its hair then it is obviously transgender. If a boy then they will know as soon as it kicks the poppers undone on its babygro in an attempt to turn it into a dress.

(If you think I am exaggerating; these have already been given as examples by transideologues of evidence of transgender babies)

notangelinajolie · 29/12/2019 11:42

Male donates sperm. Female gets pregnant.
A modern day miracle Hmm

nauticant · 29/12/2019 11:42

There is considerable irritation about this Humpty-Dumptying of language on twitter:

BruceAndNosh · 29/12/2019 11:42

The fact that they have dressed the (very cute) baby in a rainbow onsie speaks volumes

MerryChristmasUfilthyanimal · 29/12/2019 11:40

Wut?

formerbabe · 29/12/2019 11:40

Nothing to see here...move along

BaronessBomburst · 29/12/2019 11:37
Grin I read that thread title three times and then laughed. It was either that or cry. The world has gone mad.
koshkat · 29/12/2019 11:35

Such a non news item. But also so very stunning and brave. How long before the baby gets 'help' from Mermaids?

Rubidium · 29/12/2019 11:30

Two lesbians have a child via a sperm donor.
