Different brand but same idea. Smile I am unbelievably happy. The gifted bought it because her friend makes this brand. Anyway. For all those places with "gender neutral" and men's loos, where we know the men using "gender neutral" when they have another choice will likely be the ones we want to avoid, I think I now have the way ahead! Ha, I have always quite wanted one of these..oh for the convenience to if caught short, be able to go hide in a corner round the backstreet, rather than walking like a demented chicken trying to find the nearest loos, or risk sitting on a patch of nettes!

1300cakes · 26/12/2019 10:25

I'm afraid I couldn't successfully use mine, I bought it to use at festivals. But I'm sure you're cordinated than me (wouldn't be hard).

ahumanfemale · 26/12/2019 06:30

We do long car journeys (10 hrs) in France at times and I hate with a passion most of the motorway toilets (there are a few that are ok but on major holidays there are often long queues at those). The others are often dirty, smelly and I feel scared in them because you never know who is waiting in them.

I usually don't drink much the day before and on the journey, to avoid needing to go all that often. The toilets aren't nice for the kids either and DH doesn't like them so we usually make extra pee-stops for him and the kids at the truck stop/picnic lay-bys. But there's nowhere for me to pee there without walking quite far from the lay-by and then being out of sight..which I feel equally scared about. I find squatting to pee a very vulnerable state to be in. Being able to stand up, so I'm at least visible to DH would be more comfortable- assuming I don't end up covered in pee! 😂

Take one leg out of knickers- it really isn't a problem. It's far, far easier than when wearing trousers or shorts.

I've never had the problems you mentioned but then I've never been daft enough to pick a site beside nettles.

bd67th · 26/12/2019 00:02

But you don't need this if you're wearing a skirt. Outdoors pee'ing isn't a problem.

In addition to faling foul of nettles, my ability to soak my own shoes and ankle-level knickers when squatting is unlimited. I'd put my feet further apart but my knickers are a very effective hobble.

I'd far rather lift the front hem of the skirt and use a FUD.

bd67th · 25/12/2019 23:53

Depends on how much you like having nettle stings on your bum.

I found that I had to cut my pubic hair short to use a She-wee, otherwise the urine would wick up the hair and go over the side onto my clothes. Angry I'm considering a different type of FUD in the hope that it will leak less if I forget to "clip the hedge".

EveryKingdomOfRain · 25/12/2019 23:43

Getting bum out isn't so appealing. Better with skirts then, in weather with no tights?

I don't think it would work at all with a skirt. You'd be holding it in place and holding your skirt out of the way.

youkiddingme · 25/12/2019 23:21

So best used with loose-ish zip-front trousers? I'm thinking of sticking one of these on my wish list.

kristallen · 25/12/2019 23:06

Ooh name in the snow..now there's a thought!

stillathing · 25/12/2019 21:32

I love mine. But, if you're wearing tight jeans, you kind of need to pull everything down and get your bum out, toddler style. Or maybe that's just me.

OhHolyJesus · 25/12/2019 19:59

Just looked up the original and they say "female urine device". No arguing with that, for a tenner I might get one. In blue (definitely not pink).

If I do I'll go to the mens and do it in the urinals and see what the reaction is.

Childrenofthestones · 25/12/2019 19:51

The real challenge is......can you write your name in the snow? ☺️

SawingForTeens · 25/12/2019 18:38

I got one too!! Am cock-a-hoop, I complained loudly and often about trying to use the few and distant loos (at night) in the campgrounds at WOMAD, and my lovely DSIL knew just what to get. Chuffed.

ahumanfemale · 25/12/2019 15:48

I think it's safe to say that my shower may not be a pee-free zone for a little while! 😱😂

Practise and make sure you aren't desperate to go when using as found that "messy" ......

Voice0fReason · 25/12/2019 14:50

They are very handy. I would definitely practise at home first, it can take a bit of getting used to.

MyMajesty · 25/12/2019 14:42

Xmas Shock Xmas Biscuit

And thank you.

ahumanfemale · 25/12/2019 14:20

Ok so the brand is pisse-debout and it's French.

And I'm now pissed about it because it's not actually for women, just "every person who has a vulva" (hadn't read the packaging until I needed to find the brand name).

Oh well, what a great opportunity to show my female relatives in France that their language has also erased them.

I shall proudly pee as a woman though. Because as someone with a vulva, I can't f*cking be anything else!

Aghast males, in toilets, is what we need.

MyMajesty · 25/12/2019 12:32

OP, please tell us the brand you have. Smile

ahumanfemale · 25/12/2019 12:32

Thanks for the tips!! Family are waiting for me to try it out in the garden! 😂 They'll be waiting a bit longer. Male relatives looked aghast when I said I'd be able to use urinals now! I'd never have asked for one for Christmas, I'd never have bought one as an unasked-for gift and I keep forgetting to buy one (for YEARS) so I'm really excited about this!

Btw mine is black, not skin coloured.

I don't use a mooncup but I'm having hilarious images of shewees AND moon cups being rinsed in the toilets of men's loos as I identify as whatever I feel like in the day! 😂

They’re brilliant. I get most of my use from mine in unisex toilets in National Parks where the seats are usually covered in wee Confused

You sort of need to tilt forward to get it to work. I never practised at home, just went for it.

I really wouldn't want one willy-coloured.

Natsku · 25/12/2019 11:38

I got one for hiking a couple of years ago though haven't had an opportunity to use it (except for practicing in the shower) because of leg/hip/back problems since my last pregnancy stopping me from hiking. But maybe I will carry it just in case I encounter those toilet set ups (certainly not in my town, too country for wokeness)
