These hare-rabbits and vice versa all live down the rabbit hole, right?!

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/11/2019 12:06

Is @SandyDrawsBadly still around? I'm sure she could do some fabulous illustrations.

EwwSprouts · 25/11/2019 12:02

I'd guess David Davis is focused on the free speech angle but he's aware of the the judicial review and prepared to publicly comment. Is he going to be the Lewis Moonie of the tories?

You are KILLING ME!!!!! 😂😂😂😂

Well Mrs O said you needed cheering up.

...You oculd hear them from far away, the chorus of "Woooooah, Jeremy Corvid!"

"I can do nothing," said Jeremy. "I owe everything to my wise team of helpers: Diane Rabbit, Keir Starling, Emily Thornback-Ray, Dawn Chorus and Rebecca Longbill."

"And what do they say?" Harry asked.

"We need to protect Hare-only spaces," said Diane.
"But these spaces must be fully open to all hares regardless of whether or not they were assigned as rabbits," explained Dawn.
"And cuckoos forced to lay their eggs in blackbird nests is because of the nest shortage," added Emily.
"Woooooah, Jeremy Corvid!" chanted Rebecca, and they all started up again.

Harry tried to talk to the Freebird Party and their leader, JoJo Swiftson, but her aides explained that as a swift she had to remain on the wing and could never make contact with material reality. Her assitant Lady Feathers-tone said any blackbirds who blamed cuckoos for all the smashed eggs at the foot of the tree were cuckoophobes not welcome in the party and could piss off.

It was going to be a long struggle, thought Harry.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/11/2019 10:40

Objection! Corvids are generally wise and clever. I think a particularly fetching raven would have a far better chance of getting voted in as prime minister.

...Can't draw. Illustrations needed.

....So Harry went first to the Forest Party and their leader, Boris the Great Tit.

"The way to solve all your problems," Boris said, "Is to get the forest out of the Forestry Commission. Do you know half our laws are made in Bristol?"

"But some people say you're just a party of cats and weasels," said Harry.

"That's not true," said Rees Moggie. "I like birds," he added, licking his whiskers.

"So I hope we can count on your support," said Boris. "Careful on your way out, or Prettypetal the Venus Fly Trap will have your wing off..."

Don't think much of them, Harry thought, and headed off to the tree of the Birds Party, and their leader, Jeremy Corvid.

drspouse · 25/11/2019 10:16

There is actually a (very poor IMO) children's book about adoption called Hootah (yes really) the Owl.

BadgertheBodger · 25/11/2019 10:13

Mockers this is brilliant Grin

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 25/11/2019 10:13

"Thank you," said Harry. "I'm just an owl whose intentions are good. Please don't let me be misunderstood."

@HazzaTheOwl should read this!

MockersFactCheckMN · 25/11/2019 09:33

"Hmmmmm," said the legal eagle. "They're saying you can't say that? They can't say you can't say that. We can go to the Wise Old Beak and say they're saying you can't say that. We can say that."

"Thank you," said Harry. "I'm just an owl whose intentions are good. Please don't let me be misunderstood."

"....It'll cost you, mind," said the eagle. "We're not songbirds. Eagles don't come cheap. Or go 'Cheep!'"

So Harry thanked the eagle and flew off, thinking he would need some organistion. Then he remembered there was a forest election soon. Maybe the candidates could help.....?

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/11/2019 08:33

Mockers Grin

MockersFactCheckMN · 25/11/2019 08:19

....Cont'd

At the edge of the forest lies the Stonewall. (It's been lying there for ages.) There, the rabbits in stillettos (who were really hares) were practising their walking on hind-legs, tottering and falling over as they vogued.

They looked up. "It's Harry the Owl!" They cried. "The one who murders baby cuckoos in their nests! Death to Harry!" They all cried, and all fell over.

Harry was flying off to the mountain to see a legal eagle.

BadgertheBodger · 25/11/2019 08:11
