Shame on anyone waving at you monitors who's ever used the slur t*rf. You disgust me, you hypocritical bullies.

Well done tweeters, and hole diggers, and especially Harry for putting himself through this for us all. Well done @mnhq for giving us this platform, you were bloody brave.

I feel really optimistic we are turning a corner.

LangCleg · 21/11/2019 17:33

Glad you found the tweets helpful.

Helpful? Fucking brilliant, more like!

I haven't forgotten the fab podcast either.

You've been an absolute star, Sarah. More thanks from me than you can imagine.

OvaHere · 21/11/2019 17:33

Well done Spero and to all at FC. I hope the publicity raises the coffers too.

AutumnCrow · 21/11/2019 17:32

Catching up after work and @Spero thank you so much.

I've been explaining it to people today and they all absolutely get the freedom of speech element and wish Harry well.

clitherow · 21/11/2019 17:31

Thank you, Spero and all at Faircop from Humberside. May you have saved us all from the cerebrally-challenged jackbooted plod.

BarbaraStrozzi · 21/11/2019 17:30

Also well done Harry for having the guts to bring the case, and his legal team who have been awesome.

I just told my DDad all about it, and I think he's going to get hold of his spade a bit later on in case there's an appeal...

popehilarious · 21/11/2019 17:29

Spero your tweets were brill. Flowers

IamEarthymama · 21/11/2019 17:28

On behalf of all GC people, and of course especially on behalf of women, thank you so much to all of you xx

BarbaraStrozzi · 21/11/2019 17:27

Spero you're an absolute hero.

CadburysTastesVileNow · 21/11/2019 17:23

Telegraph website says you can get a day pass for a quid, if anyone's interested.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 21/11/2019 17:21

Spero, what a heroic effort. Thank you so, so much. It's so exhilirating to watch the case live tweeted.

Thanks and well done to Harry and Team, too.

PlayYouLikeAShark · 21/11/2019 17:20

Bloody well done to all, including you spero. Amazing work.

Spero · 21/11/2019 17:19

Glad you found the tweets helpful. I nearly went home at lunch time as was knackered but so glad I didn't as the absolute best bits (out of many) happened after 2pm - Judge recognising TERF is a slur, Humbersides redaction of info showing 'victim' had also made derogatory comments and clear recognition that they don't understand the Equality Act.

A bloody brilliant day. Hard to see how it could have gone any better.

Well done Harry and Team and thanks to all for their support.

Let's hope the tide is turning.

InTheShadowOfTheMushroomCloud · 21/11/2019 17:18

Bloody hell! I missed all this as I was dragged into work today as my job share other half is poorly...so have been lecturing all day. And then didn't get to my phone at lunchtime...cos of stuff.
Bloody bloody bloody hell!

Sorry...nothing to add to it all but

Bloody hell!

YourOpinionIsNoted · 21/11/2019 17:17

GrinGrinGrin @cadburys

CadburysTastesVileNow · 21/11/2019 17:15

That judge.

Pure forensic viagra.

ProfessorSlocombe · 21/11/2019 17:03

I am so glad this is getting the sunlight it deserves and that the judges in both cases seem to have their heads screwed on.

Sunlight has a cleansing effect Grin

But remember how slim the thread of freedom is. It was only two months ago that the UKs judicial system was blasted and derided as partisan. Probably by the same people that are cheering the CoP on.

BeardedVulture · 21/11/2019 16:52

This and the Maya Forstater case have had me frantically pressing F5 all week. I am so glad this is getting the sunlight it deserves and that the judges in both cases seem to have their heads screwed on.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 21/11/2019 16:47

'It appeared to me that the more information that came out, the worse it looked'

Indeed.
Also, the judge kept on providing us with more and more killer quotes, so an appeal would likely just give us more of the same.

drspouse · 21/11/2019 16:44

My understanding is you can't just appeal because you feel like it, but if you make a case that there was a legal irregularity you can ask.

TheShoesa · 21/11/2019 16:40

Thanks for that OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg

Would it be possible to do the same for yesterday's please?

GenderfreeJoe · 21/11/2019 16:40

This is brilliant. Thank you Harry and all of those @wearefaircop.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 21/11/2019 16:39

the last time I bought the Telegraph was when they broke the MPs expenses scandal...

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 21/11/2019 16:39

It's almost as if the defence misunderstood the case.
Surely they knew they couldn't just keep repeating the stonewall training over and over?

jhuizinga · 21/11/2019 16:34

I've just bought, for the first time, a copy of the Daily Telegraph to read the excellent editorial. Can we expect similar from the Guardian?? The walk to the newsagents was good for me given that I have been glued to the sofa and my phone throughout this and Maya's hearings. I had thought of attending the Fair Cop case but am glad I donated my rail fare to London to the crowdfunder instead - the live tweeting, including asides, was a joy so many thanks to the tweeter. I agree the judge was fab and hope he raises the question of why the police have been so lacking in impartiality in their guidance and actions.
