Wow! She kept saying there are challenges, but gave no indication of what they are or how they would be tackled. Great questioning but should have pushed a lot harder.

The fact that Berger is floundering when being challenged on the myriad inconsistencies of this shows how ill thought out their policies are

TheCuriousMonkey · 14/11/2019 07:19

Nick Robinson has done stuff on this before. His extended interview with Paris Lees is very interesting.

poshme · 14/11/2019 07:18

LDs are focussing on equalities today.

BovaryX · 14/11/2019 07:17

Do you think this is in a response to yesterday’s excellent article in The Times? That the Lib Dems are getting explicitly asked about this issue?

poshme · 14/11/2019 07:17

He also asked about male sex offenders in women's prisons, and someone being refused membership - Luciana Berger didn't know about the membership thing.
He said 'doesn't sex and biology come into it at it?' At one point.

TheCuriousMonkey · 14/11/2019 07:17

Aghh, so disappointed in Luciana Berger. She said that Nick Robinson could identify as a woman and be treated in law as a woman. Then failed to answer questions about competing rights.

FlamingoAndJohn · 14/11/2019 07:17

I like that he put across the concerns women have.

poshme · 14/11/2019 07:15

Nick Robinson good questions. Direct and to the point- 'if I identify as a women the Lib Dem's day I should be treated as one?' 'Yes'
But what about the hard won rights of women? Etc.

FlamingoAndJohn · 14/11/2019 07:15

She’s not coming across well.

He said ‘if I now say I’m a woman then the law should treat me as such’. She replied ‘yes’.

Fozzleyplum · 14/11/2019 07:15

Am listening. Luciana Berger completely unprepared and not answering Nick Robinson's question.

FlamingoAndJohn · 14/11/2019 07:14

Literally just turned it on.
