Wouldn't it be great if everyone who hasn't already dug deep could get out their spades and help the LGB Alliance reach their target this weekend? They're close.

Once they've raised enough for an office and a computer and a person to get things started they can begin the job of toppling the transgender / gender edifice for real. Simon Fanshawe and Allison Bailey have already made a great start.

Fantastic to see the fundraiser going so well. Will donate in the morning.

AppleJane · 10/11/2019 20:49

98% now. Impressive

thirdfiddle · 10/11/2019 20:21

So close! Under 400 now.

Thanks for the prompt. I hadn’t realised it was back up and running.

ImGenderfree · 10/11/2019 19:17

Another little shovel here. Lots of anonymous donations - can’t imagine why and it’s a shame that people don’t feel able to show they have donated. It fits with a key aim being freedom of speech. £434 to go

youllhavehadyourtea · 10/11/2019 19:11

I dug a pothole

Sexnotgender · 10/11/2019 19:06

Another little shovel full from me.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 10/11/2019 18:58

I donated. I trust those involved to do what the people they represent need them to do with the money.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 10/11/2019 18:48

Just over £500 to go ShockShockShock

breakfastpizza · 10/11/2019 18:44

Donated, thanks for drawing attention to it.

dianebrewster · 10/11/2019 18:29

I trust the people behind the organisation so I've donated. In all of these cases you should only donate as much as you are prepared to lose.

beckyvardy · 10/11/2019 18:27

A little bit from me added too

OhHolyJesus · 10/11/2019 18:19

Errol is right, this is the set up money, all detailed in the text of the crowdfunder. They are applying for charitable status but that takes time.

ErrolTheDragon · 10/11/2019 17:56

I would give them some money but there’s just no registed address for them, no registration as a charity or as a company and no leadership, just some twitter page...

My understanding is that they're looking for this relatively modest amount at this point so that they can set up an organisation properly.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 10/11/2019 17:55

Ohyesthatgc, there's always an element of trust with crowdfunding and if you don't feel confident, don't donate. Hold onto your money until you feel sufficient structures have been put in place to reassure you.
My personal view is that given the track record of the names associated with this project (Simon Fanshawe in particular) I don't have much to worry about, but I am sure they would be just as happy to receive your donation further down the line once they can be clearer about what it will be spent on.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 10/11/2019 17:43

Homophobes on Twitter are making a last-ditch attempt to shut the crowdfunder down. Please report this account for homophobia & if you can, keep digging!

I would give them some money but there’s just no registed address for them, no registration as a charity or as a company and no leadership, just some twitter page... what’s stopping them from running off with the money or just closing down? (Just look at poise who bright camera equipment and the person who brought a mattress with crowdfunding that was meant for fighting for women’s and children’s rights)

UnWilly · 10/11/2019 15:50

A little bit from me

loveyouradvice · 10/11/2019 14:45

Hey hey - we are getting there... bump for more!

chilling19 · 10/11/2019 14:22

Small shovel from me

moofolk · 10/11/2019 14:06

On it now

HandsOffMyRights · 10/11/2019 13:30

Thank you for the reminder.

All the 1984 nonsense from Surrey Pride and go makes this extreme agent of T*RF want to dig deeper - in more ways than one.

So thank you.

PurpleCrowbar · 10/11/2019 12:37

Another little shovelful from here...

zanahoria · 10/11/2019 11:33

I hope it actively encourages members. Stonewall does not even have a membership, a charity controlled by trustees, it represents only them and their corporate donors.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 10/11/2019 09:10

They’re up to 95% Grin.
