The Sunday Times reporting a long overdue judicial review after an (alleged) sexual assault on a woman prisoner by a male born trans rapist who had been placed in a female prison. (trying to be careful with language given the oppressive monitors who try to control this board).

And they've reported on the Centre Parks issue as well as a prominent article about that major brands like Unilever and Heinz advertising on Pornhub that's awash with child sex abuse. Share token:

Great news.

It's abhorrent that a policy so radically and only affecting vulnerable women with such risks and disadvantage to them was actually put into place without consulting those women, or any women's groups or representatives.

The policy of course was solely to the advantage of male people with massive intervention and consultation from those males and male groups and representatives.

The inequality, the absolute disregard for and subordinating of the interests of those born female to male interests is in itself beyond comprehension that it was allowed to happen.

boatyardblues · 25/10/2020 11:06

Yes, if the EHRC and GEO were actually doing their job properly none of these harmful policies would have been implemented in the first place. You had one job, guys....

RozWatching · 25/10/2020 10:50

@highame

Bit more digging done, but it's about time they got some solid government funding.
Yes, it's unbelievable that FPFW is having to do all these things.
boatyardblues · 25/10/2020 10:34

That is a great thread by FPFW, especially the point about these policies being implemented AFTER women had already been sexually assaulted by a transwoman placed in the female estate. For anyone new to this debate, that should raise a few eyebrows.

ArabellaScott · 25/10/2020 10:19

This is great news.

LizzieSiddal · 25/10/2020 10:02

That's fabulous news about the review.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/10/2020 09:21

Oh wow, that is big.

MerchedCymru · 25/10/2020 09:00

Hopeful twitter thread from FPFW: as well as supporting this claim, they have had permission to bring a Judicial Review of all trans prison policies in England and Wales. The hearing is on 28-29 October.

Off to find a spade and do some deep digging.

NRatched · 24/10/2020 23:37

Darren Goode changed his name several times and fathered eight children by five women. He is not in any way 'intersex'.

Ah right. I thought the intersex thing didn't ring true at all. He fathered 8 kids with an 'oversized clitorus' eh..medical marvel ideed Hmm

NRatched · 24/10/2020 23:34

(Not saying transpeople ARE more likely to offend there btw. I think its clear which of the two possible reasons for the unusual numbers is right, and I do not think transwomen are more of a risk than any other male. But, we are told it never happens, that anyone would abuse self ID)

NRatched · 24/10/2020 23:31

From the P News article on how horrific it is for men in mens prisons (I find it hard to believe a female person with DSD would be placed with males? Also it appears they did not change to 'a female name' until during the sentence? Odd, if they have always known they were female? Anyway..)

I was given the male uniform, even though I had long hair

Erm. That line alone kind of shows how ridiculous the second story was Hmm

Anyone with long hair should be in a female uniform, in a female prison this implies. Stereotypes, again. Male prisons would have been empty throughout the 70s and 80s if this happened.

No reason at all for males in female prisons, even if they are largely kept away from the female prisoners. If they are in danger in the mens, a seperate wing in the mens would do. Or yeah, given there are apparently 1600, a seperate prison entirely. Though I suspect the numbers would drop to single figures if there was not the prospect of shifting to the womens estate. The prisons thing is a bit of a dilemma for TRAs, either transpeople are more likely to be offenders than the usual population, or..many men are using selfID for dodgy reasons. But noone would abuse self ID. And I really doubt transpeople are more dangerous than the rest of society either. But it must be one of these..

MissMarplesGlove · 24/10/2020 21:29

Agree with all you’re saying, @StandWitch

StandWitch · 24/10/2020 12:15

I don't disagree; my point was that those with a sexual paraphalia claiming to have gender dysphoria are indistinguishable from those who do have gender dysphoria. (well, probably psychologists COULD investigate this, but they don't seem willing to do so, out of a belief that gender identity is something sacred and unquestionable.)

those paedophiles referred to the GIC may simply get arousal from dressing as women, seek access to women, etc. The fact that they are being seen by the GIC doesn't mean they do have gender identity dysphoria per se. Some will, clearly.

but TRAs have made every day 'take your fetish to work day', so we can't know.

RozWatching · 24/10/2020 12:05

I'm not sure 'gender identity issues' is necessarily fair on people with gender identity issues. Many simply have a sexual fetish. Is that a gender identity issue?

Sure, not all 'trans people' are like that, but some have gender identity issues and other issues. It's a fact that convicted paedophiles and rapists can get a referral to the Gender Identity Clinic. Dr Barrett has treated paedophiles, and he was also a key witness in Karen Jones's appeal.
I think we really need to get away from this idea that people with gender identity issues are, as LangCleg put it, a sacred caste.

CharlieParley · 24/10/2020 12:03

More fool me, I actually took at face value that Strange was intersex and I did indeed have sympathy.

For the late transitioners that's as common a narrative as that of having identified as trans in childhood. Even Lili Elbe claimed to have been intersex, but it's quite clear from the surviving documentation that this was not the case.

It is, sincerely, something that many non-homosexual transsexuals do hold onto as a possible explanation for their sex dysphoria. Sometimes they even hope for a diagnosis of a DSD, to get away from the stigma attached to their condition.

However, people with a DSD who decide that the sex they were assigned at birth does not feel right are not trans. (The only people who are assigned a sex at birth are babies with a DSD where even specialist input cannot provide clear answers.) That's because their problem isn't that they feel like the sex they were born into is wrong, like those who identify as trans may do, but because no such clarity exists for them. And these individuals are very rare, estimated at 0.0001% of the population in the UK - or to put it differently, that is one such individual every two years in the UK who decides that their assigned sex does not fit. DSDs where babies have ambiguous genitals at birth are thankfully rare, but the problems they face are complicated and emotionally challenging. Neither they nor their families deserve having their difficult medical issues being used to prop up trans identities.

Not that this criminal seems to have much compassion for anyone but themselves.

Serial killer Reginald Arthurell is about to let out of prison

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8866623/Serial-killer-Reginald-Arthurell-murdered-three-people-granted-parole-23-years-jail.html

www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/reginald-arthurell-release-david-elliot-moves-to-keep-killer-jailed/news-story/5d85a00e15363647de483f154e8c117e

In 1971:

He was already well known to police who he had tricked by cross-dressing as a woman.

He was staying with a friend around the corner from Ms Page, a devout Christian woman who lived alone and went to church every day. She lived in Pages Terrace, a street named after her family.

She died from seven savage blows to her head, her hat and purse still on her kitchen table, the money to buy the local paper on the windowsill to give to a neighbour.

Arthurell drifted to the towns in the north of Western Australia, returning to Sydney in May 1974 to visit his mother. He bumped into his former stepfather Thomas Thornton, who was found stabbed to death in the chest at his Guildford home.

In November 1981, Browning was on leave from his ship which had docked in Darwin and was on his way to visit his grandmother near Brisbane.

His body was found 14km down the road. He had been tied up, tortured and his skull fractured by a blow to the head.

In 1989, Justice “Tex” McInerney jailed him for 11 years with four and half years’ non-parole after being told he had taken up Christianity and been baptised in a Darwin jail, becoming a “more caring, gentle and loving person.”

Venet Mulhall, 54, had started writing to Arthurell while he was in jail in Darwin and visited him behind bars in Sydney. He was released as early as April 1991 on the condition he live with Ms Mulhall.

In February 1995, she was found bashed to death at her home in Coonabarabran after she refused to give Arthurell her car.

This image of Arthurell in a dress was found on her camera: cdn.newsapi.com.au/image/v1/903344397a51065ac1449146d3016da6?width=316

Arthurell has told authorities he wants to have a sex change as soon as possible on his release.

During the hearing today, the 75-year-old was referred to as Ms Arthurell.

Clearly in no possible way is this person a woman. People who believe he is a woman have been brainwashed, gaslighted and lied to. He is a murdering man who killed people in three different decades and is now being allowed out to indulge his sexual fetish at taxpayers' expense.

And all because this is human rights or some such nonsense?

What about the human rights of the people he tortured and killed?

334bu · 24/10/2020 11:27

Unsurprising when the person in the article below was one of the people who wrote the Scottish prison policy which allows male prisoners to be accommodated in female prisons

www.womenarehuman.com/former-prison-guard-caught-with-22000-images-of-child-porn-helped-set-scottish-trans-prisoner-rules/

RozWatching · 24/10/2020 10:59

This is shocking stuff.

Why are people in power - politicians, the police, the prison service, the 'gender specialists' - bending over backwards to accommodate the demands of rapists and other male criminals who have gender identity issues? It can't be anything to do with compassion or human rights, because they don't give a shit about women. So what is it?

One thing is clear: the so-called Gender Recognition Certificate is completely meaningless from the point of view of women's safety.

Datun · 24/10/2020 10:22

not assets of genitals ! Both sets of genitals

Datun · 24/10/2020 10:15

Jessica Yaniv claimed the same thing - assets of genitals.

I wonder if that's just because they think that's what intersex means and it sounds, um, appealing.

StandWitch · 24/10/2020 09:29

As far as I understand the science, DSD is rarely manifested in having a mix of Male and female genitalia.

there is no such thing as hermaphroditism in humans, in fact.

"Male pseudohermaphroditism is the condition of incomplete male differentiation of the external genitalia in an individual with a Y chromosome. "

you don't get penis and vagina as this criminal was suggesting.

MissMarplesGlove · 24/10/2020 09:14

As far as I understand the science, DSD is rarely manifested in having a mix of Male and female genitalia. That is a myth. It’s much more about chromosomal differences, or - like Caster Semenya - underdeveloped or internal genitalia.

AnyOldPrion · 23/10/2020 21:39

Watched the Unsafe Sex in the City programme. Two claims made by Strange/Edwards, presented without comment.

Nurse in the clinic asks how many partners in the last three months: reply “62 since January”

Later in the programme talking about the claimed intersex condition, which involves having a penis and a vagina: “It’s been terrible because the penis part isn’t really big enough, obviously the vagina part isn’t, you know, very workable at the best of times, so obviously it left me in a situation where it was, like, sexual life wasn’t... pretty much non-existent.”

StandWitch · 23/10/2020 20:03

Now going by Jasmine Edwards, fwiw.
