According to The Times JustGiving have suspended the website for the new LGB Alliance.

Why??? What can be done to address this?

Can people also support the LGBA by following them on Twitter? Their handle is @AllianceLGB. Don’t depend on finding it using Twitter search - they’re shadowbanned & spoof accounts come up instead.

Fab! Will donate later.

I thought I could control them. But things got out of hand. Sorry. Ruth Hunt

Going to bed on 65%. Definitely heartening :-)

Presumably this means their investigation showed that the complains weren't justified. In a way it's perhaps good long term they went through this process.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 01/11/2019 10:36

Really pleased to see this back up and that JustGiving haven't caved to pressure from homophobic bullies.

Squeakycheese · 01/11/2019 10:24

Fantastic news that it's back. I'll donate this weekend Smile

Apocalyptichorsewoman · 01/11/2019 08:38

Now on 51%!

Cwenthryth · 01/11/2019 07:08

50%, average donation £32

TerfTalk · 01/11/2019 00:11

Great news! It's back just in time for pay day!

TemporaryPermanent · 31/10/2019 23:42

ooh 45%... off to bed, maybe 50% by the morning.

Apocalyptichorsewoman · 31/10/2019 23:02

Just donated. It's now on 41% of total...

Cwenthryth · 31/10/2019 22:35

It was on low 20-something % of target when I donated earlier, on 40% now. Average donation £28.

Obvs all orchestrated by the American fundamentalist Christian far right tho, for sure Grin

TemporaryPermanent · 31/10/2019 22:29

You're probably right, I hope so.

No wonder there were attacks on the JustGiving page; look at it go...

EmpressLesbianInChair · 31/10/2019 21:58

I think they're updating it a lot tonight.

TemporaryPermanent · 31/10/2019 21:40

God almighty. Anyone else trying to get to the LGBA facebook page/website/anything and finding repeated routes of weirdness and blockage happening?

EmpressLesbianInChair · 31/10/2019 21:38

If you Google "just giving" "lgb alliance" it comes up.

thirdfiddle · 31/10/2019 20:05

Ah thanks for the reminder.

realitycalling · 31/10/2019 18:47

It is heartwarming to see. And given how many many thousands of men and women signed that petition criticising Stonewall I would expect them to reach the target quite quickly.

Cuntysnark · 31/10/2019 18:41

It’s heartwarming to watch that unmentionable.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 31/10/2019 18:22

Best comment so far: 'This is just to tide you over till the cheques from the religious right come in.'

I am eager to see if the TRAs really do manage to convince themselves this is where the money comes from this time.

Cwenthryth · 31/10/2019 17:58

It’s back up! You can access it via link on Twitter, but it’s not coming up when you search on JustGiving

Anyways, I just donated £30.

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 30/10/2019 16:44

It's beyond ridiculous that they are taking so long to "investigate" this.

I would suggest PayPal or direct debit, but I'm pretty sure I've read about PayPal deciding to close accounts unfairly without the right to appeal, and didn't the Co-op bank decide to close the account of a feminist group they accused of wrong think a couple of years back?

Discriminating against homosexuals is against the law, but we might have to take one of these discriminatory companies to court before the rest wise up and realise that the Stonewall law they've paid lobby groups to train them in does not really correspond to current UK law.
