If Rachelself is so comfortable with their actions, why the grim expression? It feels like Rachelself is merely going through the motions in order to crow about it later on Twitter?

And Rachelself seemed to scamper off quick sharp after the podium, almost as if they felt awkward?? Why feel awkward if your victory was honestly won??

SarahTancredi · 16/10/2019 11:25

How are you seeing the comments on the YouTube clip?

frazzled1 · 16/10/2019 11:19

From the FB page. No prizes for spotting the male bodied 'competitor'....

Doesn’t stop her competing though and unfortunately she will go in the record books and have the medal as runner up.

OrchidInTheSun · 16/10/2019 11:00

Sorry, gold and silver medalists. Shame the bronze medalist wasn't in the photo too

OrchidInTheSun · 16/10/2019 10:56

I love that photo of the gold and bronze medalists. With the person with the pink hair photobombing.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 16/10/2019 10:52

Ewwwwww. Sour grapes never a good look. But when you are already under the spotlight for questionable attitudes to fair play and sportsmanship - doubly so. Hmm

zebrasdontwearbras · 16/10/2019 10:47

Yup, that picture showing McKinnon with the 1st and 2nd place winning women, speaks a thousand words!

Congratulations to three female winners : Dawn, Naomi & Kirsten Star

ForeverFaff · 16/10/2019 10:00

@LikeothersIamjustme I guess Rachel Mckinnonself has to balance looking like a ripped male athlete, and the 'womanself' they aspire to be. Can't be easy.

ForeverFaff · 16/10/2019 09:57

The live chat comments were refreshingly honest! I guess compelled false-speech (lying) aren't forced onto YouTube's members like on mumsnet.
A solid wall of truth, anger, and outrage that a man was stealing a women's place.

LikeothersIamjustme · 16/10/2019 09:57

Not only does McK have the physique of a man, McK has the physique of a not particularly fit man.

PermanentPortakabin · 16/10/2019 09:57

There’s definitely an incredulous feel to McK’s whine about missing gold. Feels like a certain someone thought gold was in the bag, after all, there’s that definite biological advantage —that must not be mentioned—

SarahTancredi · 16/10/2019 09:56

Wonder why they didnt hang around afterwards. Just handed someone.their cup and walked off alone.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 16/10/2019 09:50

McK's tweet "silver by one fucking hundredth" reads - and I'm sure McK didn't mean it to read like this - sulky and hard done by. Almost as if McK feels a bit - I dunno - cheated.

Nothing like a sore loser Grin That tweet promptly followed up with:

@rachelvmckinnon
...by which I mean I was off GOLD by 0.010s.

They're also now boasting of a trip to the IOC to "consult" on male-sexed people competing in female sports as well. Have at it Rachel, but the world will never really accept you as a woman. What with the male chromosomes and all.

Watched it live last night. Congrats Dawn Naomi and Kirsten. Being able to compete fairly with people of your sex in sport should be the human right, if human rights extend to sporting competitions. Being able to identify in to a category with easier winning times is cheating the system and nothing to do with human rights.
No one is trying to stop McKinnon doing sport but he should be competing against other males.

NellieEllie · 16/10/2019 09:32

Congratulations to the women who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd. As for the interloper who seems to have a trophy. Everybody knows. Even those cheering them on. They know too. It has no value.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 16/10/2019 09:29

Congratulations Dawn, Naomi & Kirsten!

LikeothersIamjustme · 16/10/2019 09:24

Congratulations to the real winners. Also, congratulations to the You Tube commentators last night - you did a great job, particularly the one 'pretending' not to understand how a 'man' got in there - I hope you managed to peak a few watchers :-)

HandsOffMyRights · 16/10/2019 08:59

You will never hold any place here.

Congratulations the three women: Dawn, Naomi and Kirsten. We celebrate your prowess Flowers

emerencemaybehopeful · 16/10/2019 08:53

Can't see the twitter feed - apparently I'm blocked. Hooray! I'm taking it as a sign I've done something right.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 16/10/2019 08:52

I love the last post on that tweet - about ultrathon's and women being better at them than men. Yes, tis something to do with our specific female physiology , fat content etc.

It's always physiology ... sex based and just occasionally being a woman has it's sporting advantages, But just look how far (literally) you have to go to find that occasion! How sodding extreme!

Pshaw!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 16/10/2019 08:52

Watch a bunch of amazing female cyclists. And one other.
And note the "live chat" panel on the right.
