Sisterwendy Flowers I really wonder about the health professionals who facilitate this.

AlwaysTawnyOwl · 10/10/2019 12:56

So sorry about that Wendy. When I was young I was so certain about many things which I no longer believe. It’s terrible to see this certainty taken advantage of.

NeurotrashWarrior · 10/10/2019 12:45

Oh sisterWendy Sad Thanks

IamEarthymama · 10/10/2019 12:31

Trewser, I have to disagree!
I thought Stephanie was very clear in her explanation
The headteacher was disingenuous in the extreme as he dismissed influences on schools and teaching on this issue.

This is not a subject that responds well to this sound bite segment approach.

If only a broadcaster would be allowed to set out the gender critical viewpoint in a documentary.
Not enough glitter I guess.

Trewser · 10/10/2019 12:27

Sadly and playing devils advocate slightly I thought that the head teacher sounded far more plausible. Stephanie sounded harassed and the average listener won't have a clue what Transgender trend is. Still waiting for the breakthrough!

MouthyHarpy · 10/10/2019 12:24

Oh SisterWendy Flowers Flowers you must be desperate about your beautiful girl. (I have a niece who's on the same path, but seems to be abetted by my SiL)

RolytheRhino · 10/10/2019 12:23

Off to Google hyena birth...

SisterWendyBuckett · 10/10/2019 12:18

MouthyHarpy I'm so sorry Thanks

My mother in law had a mastectomy and subsequently died of breast cancer. Several friends have been diagnosed and had treatment. One recently begged her oncologist for a mastectomy so the cancer wouldn't return. His professional opinion was no - too traumatic and not medically necessary.

My own trans identified daughter is desperate to have a double mastectomy, and will as
soon as she gets the green light. I have no words either to express how I feel. The situation we are currently in is beyond a nightmare.

NeurotrashWarrior · 10/10/2019 12:04

Mouthy, I'm so sorry to hear that.

I now know several women my age who've had mastectomies and one who has died from breast cancer. Makes me furious. Also as I've breastfed both children; this is the true nature of breasts.

To me it's akin to breast ironing; both are driven by patriarchal structures but just self inflicted and neater.

MouthyHarpy · 10/10/2019 11:40

Oh @NeurotrashWarrior I actually looked at the Insta "scar" pic - 2 of my sisters have had mastectomies (one would have died without a radical mastectomy) - I may have to have one. This is not something about identity. It makes me so angry (I can hardly say how and why).

Whatsnewpussyhat · 10/10/2019 10:10

Marsupials generally have got the whole childbirth thing correct in my view
Get 'em out young and stick 'em in your pocket

I've always said this, our way is so long winded and hazardous. Not sure is I'd want 3 vaginas though! Grin

NeurotrashWarrior · 10/10/2019 10:09

Mouthy, I'm with you. I find this sort of celebration of non binary stuff sickening

Now read full thread. Am off work with mild fever and can't make sense of kangaroos genitals on top of all the rest...

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 10/10/2019 10:07

If you think marsupials have weird genitals you do not even want to know about female hyenas.

Suffice to say they make human child birth look like a stroll in the park on a sunny day.

NeurotrashWarrior · 10/10/2019 10:06

So delighted with this. Thank you so much Stephanie. Nick seemed very well briefed too!

MockersthefeMANist · 10/10/2019 10:03

You can just see the echidnas strutting around in the showers, showing off.

(And I apologise unreservedly to kangeroos for misgenitaling them.)

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 10/10/2019 10:00

Marsupials generally have got the whole childbirth thing correct in my view.

Get 'em out young and stick 'em in your pocket.

With male marsupials it isn't that they can have more than one penis but that the penis can be split into more than one 'prong' as I understand it. In kangaroos in particular I think it is a two, rather than three prong affair but I understand echidnas have four.

Juells · 10/10/2019 09:52

Lady kangaroos also have three vaginas.

Kangaroos are amazing. Female kangaroos can also have three offspring in their body at the same time IIRC. One fertilised embryo in suspended state, one embryo developing, and one joey inside the pouch attached to a nipple. Once the tiny embryo has attached to the nipple, it (nipple) swells to hold the baby kangaroo in place, and it stays like that for months I think, until it's big enough to move around and stick its head out and look around.

MouthyHarpy · 10/10/2019 09:49

Stephanie Davies-Arai pointed out girls are seeking double mastectomies to become non binary

If "non-binary" means neither one gendersex** nor the other, WHY oh WHY oh WHY is a girl having her breasts chopped off non-binary? Surely it's a really really binary thing - mimicking the MALE body - and sets up maleness as the default position.

Something feminists have been arguing against for about, oooh, at least 227 years dated from 1792 and the publication of Mary Wollstonecraft's A Vindication of the Rights of Women

** made up term to denote the utter bollocking confusion of these 2 terms which got us into this mess in the 1st place

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 10/10/2019 09:47

It's happening because grown adults have disengaged brains and are afraid to call obvious nonsense obvious nonsense.

No human beings can not change sex.

No transwomen are not women.

No there is no such thing as 'non-binary'.

No you don't have an 'innate gender identity'.

It is all complete and utter claptrap and everyone needs to stop 'being kind' because you are actually being cruel when you pander to delusions.

Stop it.

AncientLights · 10/10/2019 09:44

Googled 'kangaroo genitals' - what does my search history look like? - but can't find 3 penises on a roo. But females have 3 vaginas, 2 entrances at the sides and a central exit, and 2 uterii.

littlbrowndog · 10/10/2019 09:40

17 vix. 17

Can’t buy fags or drink legally but someone will cut off her breasts at 17
How is this happening

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 10/10/2019 09:36

Lady kangaroos also have three vaginas.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 10/10/2019 09:34

Kangaroos have 3 willies?? ShockShockShock That's news to me!

SirVixofVixHall · 10/10/2019 09:28

I missed it, will listen later, but DH heard it and said Stephanie was great.
DH’s close friend’s daughter has just had her breasts removed. She is 17. It is just heartbreaking.
