Does it mean that if a 'TERF' has the temerity to comment then that will be what they see as they are gently battered with a foam Minecraft axe?

AudacityOfHope · 04/10/2019 15:49

I think it's something like 'if you were looking up at my this is what you'd see as a terf' I.e. me holding a foam axe looking like the kind of sullen little shit you see round the back of the Spar on Saturday nights.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 04/10/2019 15:46

Well that lot certainly haven't had their sugar puffs today.

I'm flummoxed the phrase though, could someone with a deft handle on confusing youth-speak spell it out for me?

TheChampagneGalop · 04/10/2019 15:32

You know how women are called bigots and terfs for being concerned about our safety? Weeell...

AncientLights · 04/10/2019 15:25

Kestrel I had a poster of Che Guevara on my wall in the early 1970s. Nowt wrong with that.

AudacityOfHope · 04/10/2019 15:24

Bet his older sister is taking the absolute screeching piss out of him right now.

Findumdum1 · 04/10/2019 15:20

I like how one of them is using a foam Minecraft pick axe that he got for his 9th birthday.

Findumdum1 · 04/10/2019 15:16

What's all the "in my mentions" thing? Does that simply mean one of the people that replied to my tweet?

This is like trying to work out what my teenage sons are saying to me.

birdsdestiny · 04/10/2019 14:52

Not only are we on the right side of history but we also have the best cakes.

andyoldlabour · 04/10/2019 14:45

Brody Hamilton, sophomore at Delaware University, majoring in Public Policy and Political Science. He is the second twatter link.

Why always with the blue, sorry teal, hair?

TirisfalPumpkin · 04/10/2019 14:13

I like this response.

This is in a direct line of descent from the would-be boy "revolutionaries" of the 1970s with posters of Che Guevara on the wall, talking big about "when the revolution comes".

The difference now is that social media allows these poseurs to be the "heroes" of their posters. And of course that their targets are no longer capitalism or the military-industrial complex, but feminist women.

BeardedVulture · 04/10/2019 13:50

What a bunch of nitwits.

nauticant · 04/10/2019 13:42

Well done to whoever coined the term "trancels". Simply perfect.

Ereshkigal · 04/10/2019 13:36

Honestly, laughable muppets, stropping about their sad little hometowns waiting to be offended.

There are some perfect descriptions on this thread.

Datun · 04/10/2019 13:19

They're all so embarrassingly desperate for attention. I can practically hear their mums shouting up the stairs of their wee suburban semi to put the bloody phone down and get downstairs for tea.

Stupid wee boys.

Completely agree. It's cringe. Go back a couple of decades, and it was the James Bond pose with a gun. When my kids were smaller, it was the 'two fingers cupping the chin, sardonic' pose.

I guess adolescent postering never looks embarrassing to your current crop of posturing adolescents.

AudacityOfHope · 04/10/2019 13:18

Honestly, laughable muppets, stropping about their sad little hometowns waiting to be offended.

They're the physical manifestation of the song 'Every day is like Sunday'.

No different to teenagers anywhere, they just happen to live in this era, and will realise when they're older what a total twat they were.

(I'm feeling exceedingly charitable today)

SarahTancredi · 04/10/2019 13:18

They really have no idea what the are fighting for do they..

nauticant · 04/10/2019 13:13

My guess at a translation is that any T*RF responding to me will be on the receiving end of me wielding a weapon against them and this will be what they see.

It is very sad. I can't imagine what their mums would say.

WannabeGlamper · 04/10/2019 13:10

I've read the whole thread, and I still don't understand the sentence 😄.

I'm trying to imagine what it must be like for your hobby to be threatening women on Twitter 🤔. Nope, no idea, it's nuts.

Ereshkigal · 04/10/2019 13:07

Yes, and Twitter can delete all the tweets if they care to and ban the misogynistic little fuckers. Violent threats are a crime in most jurisdictions, after all.

AvocadoToes · 04/10/2019 13:06

POV = point-of-view, i.e. this is what the fantasized object of their misogyny would see.

ReanimatedSGB · 04/10/2019 12:59

As PP have said, this is silly, obnoxious teens being silly and obnoxious. Twitter is hopping with this sort of silliness and always has been.

VictoriaSpongeAndTea · 04/10/2019 12:56

I still don't understand what POV means in this context Confused
