Green and blue bins? Do your bin collectors have to take a colour blindness test?

misses point of thread

Soooannoyed · 04/10/2019 20:31

My bins all identify as vases, thank you very much. The garbage inside them identify as flowers. We don't have garbage and if you don't believe me I'll call and complain to someone using my white, streamlined telephone. (Lady of the house speaking)
Also I identify as young, skinny and very beautiful, So if any man dares to be able to string together a coherent sentence anywhere near me I'll be very cross.

BettyFilous - you're clearly a non-binary area Wink

Transbins are authentic bins
whatever the fuck that means

BettyFilous · 04/10/2019 20:02

Mixture of bins and bags around here, which means we are either very open-minded or very confused. I have to check the council website to find out whether its a bag week or a bin week. #buncebins

KatvonHostileExtremist · 04/10/2019 19:57

Oh! I feel the need to chant!

We don't have bins round here, you just put the bin bags out #abinual

Us too! How bin-phobic of our council...I'll be contacting West Yorkshire Police as a matter of urgency. Grin

FreezerBird · 04/10/2019 18:31

LangCleg I've had a really difficult day today but your reference to 'cis bins' has finished me. I thank you!

ARoombaOfOnesOwn · 04/10/2019 18:17

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 04/10/2019 17:49

sorry. the bin quips are better than my rambling

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 04/10/2019 17:49

the imposition of social change from the top down is generally the preserve of dictators

something the Maria Millers and Dawn Butlers of this word might like to bear in mind

We're not in that place yet despite the best efforts of the BBC recently to convince children that you can get sent to prison for thinking mean things about people who like try to force others to pretend they have changed sex

so if you can't ship people off to the gulag for understanding that men are men and women are women, you have to find other ways to get them to pretend that's not the case.

social pressure that this is what 'good people' do and conflating the right to love who you want with the right to force others to pretend they can't see what sex you are has got genderists quite a long way

but that can't go on for ever. fingers crossed that sanity will prevail and our ruling class will quietly drop this, before we end up with a brexit style mess fuelled by resentment from people being expected to pretend things they know aren't true

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 04/10/2019 17:48

So the big bag of greasy, salty crisps I just ate could actually ID as a bag of carrot sticks?

lightlypoached · 04/10/2019 17:45

We have recycling crates round here. Do you think they identify as wheelie bins (even though they don't have wheels, or a lid) ? Will I now have to call my crates a 'bin' even though their physical attributes are just not bin-like? Grin

BiologyIsReal · 04/10/2019 17:27

I can feel this might be heading for classics.....
