Very sad to see that the lesbians marching to protest Lesbian erasure in Leeds were shut down by "trans lesbians"

That is amazing journalism. Integrity personified. A burning quest to get to the truth whatever the personal cost. Is there some kind of award we can fling the way of this person for her service to the human race?

Or just 20 quid in a grubby envelope signed 'luv Linda'

Thanks for facebook link.

"But I get lost with the linguistic olympics of this ideology because if I am 'cis' as in a 'real' woman then why can transwomen therefore be referred to as just 'woman'. My issue is really the blurring of lines which disorientates women and compels them to be redefined by... men."

Agree.

I don't actually think people who use the term transwomen or cis women or use the phrase twaw believe that twaw either. If they did there would be no need for cis or trans. The fact they have to differentiate between the 2 groups highlights that there are fundamental differences.

AWomanIsEnough · 16/09/2019 12:14

Sorry - name changed

AWomanIsEnough · 16/09/2019 12:14

I just put the link here?!

Angryresister · 16/09/2019 11:41

Let's comment on the Labour women lead post in FB.

Datun · 16/09/2019 08:31

Is the OP not coming back?

stumbledin · 15/09/2019 23:54

AWomanIsEnough - can you explain about the page and where it was ie online, in a paper, or ...

I have tried googling for Labour Women / Labour Women's Network but nothing comes up.

I just wanted to send them links showing that the Diva story is a totally nonsense.

VladmirsPoutine · 15/09/2019 14:41

@TheProdigalKittensReturn An interesting point you make. I hadn't considered it like that. I understand it to mean that your sex and gender align. So at the most basic level as a woman I wear dresses but I thought that sort of stereotypical non-sense is of a bygone era. I think people don't find it remarkable anymore that a woman could for example enjoy spending weekends playing football and not having spa treatments.

But I get lost with the linguistic olympics of this ideology because if I am 'cis' as in a 'real' woman then why can transwomen therefore be referred to as just 'woman'. My issue is really the blurring of lines which disorientates women and compels them to be redefined by... men.

I don't hear anyone deriding heterosexual men for refusing to have relationships/sex with transwomen... after all aren't they women? I don't understand why more people don't see how ridiculous the ideology becomes once you break down the logical fallacies. But then again it is a strong lobby so I know why. It's the #NoDebate aspect that really galls.

AnyOldPrion · 15/09/2019 10:20

Remarkable that Mike Bettney, who photographed the march as an independent photographer accidentally only pictured lesbians and not the apparently much bigger group of tagalong male invaders...

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 15/09/2019 10:05

I will say - and have said - ‘you can stick your Cis up your arse’. I’m quite rude though on occasion...

MrGsFancyNewVagina · 15/09/2019 10:02

Any fucker tries to call me cis and my answer will be, ‘yes I am a REAL woman, but I don’t like someone else taking it upon themselves to label me, so woman will do, thanks’.

Ereshkigal · 15/09/2019 09:20

They're making the classic male error of assuming that if nobody actually tells you that they think you're wrong, or that you're pissing them off, then they must agree with you.

YY.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 15/09/2019 08:09

If people insist on shifting the word ‘woman’ aside then I shall refer to myself as ‘authentic woman’...

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/09/2019 07:56

Ereshkigal · 15/09/2019 07:51

Yes I think you're right in reality, kittens but the problem is that the TRAs can claim that more people than do subscribe to their ideology.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/09/2019 07:44

Thing is, force people to use "cis" enough and most people just use it to mean "real". It's meant to change the way people think, shift the framing as it were, but it isn't working, because other than the minority of very, um, dedicated individuals whose entire lives are focused on enforcing trans ideology most young people just use "cis" to mean "real" or "actual", since they know it's not considered polite to say those things. Which is still an overreach by TRAs, and those young people should be able to say what they mean, but it does demonstrate that Operation Linguistic Brainwash isn't working.

AWomanIsEnough · 15/09/2019 07:36

Yeah being called a CIS woman by former men who just call themselves "woman" makes my blood boil. And none of my lesbian friends want to touch a penis or be penetrated by one. And that makes them bigots? Angry

VladmirsPoutine · 15/09/2019 01:54

And I don't ever want to read the prefix 'cis' again!! That needs to end. You're not being an ally - you're redefining womanhood and making things harder for girls and women!

VladmirsPoutine · 15/09/2019 01:51

Trans women are women in the same way seahorses are horses.

Amen!

I meant 'female penis' in my post just above. But that aside I think we should all take it upon ourselves to educate as many people as feasibly possible. I won't back down on this. I'm sorry but it's wrong. You can't identify your way out of biological reality. And indeed you can't call a lesbian woman a bigot for not wanting to engage with your 'female' penis. It's mad. The whole world is on steroids. Can we all please make a concerted effort to trans-peak as many people as we feasibly can. Being a woman is hard enough as it is without some blokes in dresses and lipstick trying to redefine us!

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/09/2019 01:15

Black women are women in the same way white women or Asian women or Hispanic women are women. Trans women are women in the same way seahorses are horses.

VladmirsPoutine · 15/09/2019 01:12
Grin

The only good thing to have come out of this is the incremental, growing unity of women's voices starting to think 'hang on, that doesn't sound right...'

Today I was reading about a certain pop star who changed his pronouns from 'him' to 'they/them' as he's been battling with his gender all his life. I rolled my eyes so hard I wondered if they'd fall out!!!

What got to me was - being mixed race - I read an article where someone had said TWAW in the same way that black women are women, therefore it follows that TW can be lesbians... something something male penis!. I honestly wanted to burn down the internet after reading that!

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/09/2019 01:00

Yaniv hasn't just peak transed people, he's peak Canada'd them too.
