So terribly sad. She is responsible for so much amazing consciousness raising. It seems trite, because so many others have said it, but she really genuinely inspired so many people.

I'm not one of those people who is scared to talk about the gender debate in particular but I have no confidence in general. I was lucky to get to know Magdalen over a few months and she had so much confidence. She was the complete opposite to me. When I'm feeling like what I have to say isn't important or that nobody wants to listen, I think about her quite a lot and try to have a bit more faith in myself. She added something to the world. I hope that those who know and love her can find some comfort in knowing what a difference Magdalen made to so many people.

Her life was cut tragically short but she did what few of us ever do- she made one hell of a difference.
