I founds Magdalen's videos through MN. She opened my eyes and helped me understand what was happening. I'm so sad she has died, it seems so unfair and cruel.

Well that's shit news isn't it.

Only yesterday a friend of mine who's a lesbian sent me a link as she's just discovered her, I told her to watch all her films, pass it on and share and keep the fire burning, and she will.

Magdelen lit a fire in many women that won't go out, and it's the cruellest thing for such a woman to die so young, but she lived an uncompromising, authentic and honest life, and not many of us can say that.

I discovered her not that long ago, binged watched her videos and when it got to the ones about her tumour, I felt like I’d been kicked in the stomach, I didn’t expect it, it was just so unfair.

I felt that way again this morning.

She was amazing.

Gosh I just can't believe it. Life is so cruel sometimes.

I'm over here scared to even like certain posts on FB for fear of being outed as 'gender critical' and she did what she did so fearlessly.

Such a huge lost to feminism, a strident, forceful advicate for lesbians in a time their right to self determine their sexuality is under such pressure and manipulation.

I knew Magdalen when I lived in Edinburgh, I feel so lucky to have known her. She brightened my day every time I got to see her. She was an awesome force and so interested and knowledgeable in so many areas; physics, fitness, boxing, Scottish independence, to name but a few.... I'll miss her and smile every time I think of her.

I was raised an atheist so I don't have a holy book to look for comfort in at times like these. So I turn to other books.
