Quoting Get the L Out Flowers
But the actual issues that mean there are a serious clash of rights is not being represented clearly or fairly by the Beeb.
It’s not about feminists just being meanies FFS.
Also the organisers of this Pride/protest have a raised fist on their promo for their event Hmm.

Inaugurating the first London Trans Pride with the ceremonial Hanging of the TERF

Looks like the "Hanging of the TERF" was actually part of a "cowboy film" (?) photoshoot that happened to be going on at the same time.

No idea what the person tweeting the photo with that comment meant by it except that they obviously thought is was an acceptable "joke". They must have been disabused of that as it looks as if they have now gone in to hiding and have deleted their Twitter account.

Archived tweet:
archive.fo/Rxqxe

They say they were surprised by the attention that tweet received and then capitalised on it by tweeting a link to their Soundcloud. So no sense of shame or wrongdoing at all, just an expectation that this message will be so popular that they will profit from it:

soundcloud.com/wyrdsignalpodcast

It looks as their original interest in the "hanging" was connected with their spooksville-type interests:

"Podcast encountering the spectres of the 20th century via cult film, fringe literature, strange sounds and haunted landscapes."

No awareness apparently of the "haunted landscapes" of "Strange Fruit" lynchings or public hangings of demonised women as "witches"? Just a "joke" about women being murdered.

Just imagine . . . if that photo with this comment had been tweeted in connection with the Leeds Lesbian Pride March: "Inaugurating the first Leeds Lesbian Pride with the ceremonial Hanging of the Tranny" . . .

It would have been top of the BBC News, breakfast TV chats, sanctimonious editorial in The Grauniad, shock-horror features across MSM, fake trans suicide stats splattered everywhere, repetition of the lies about rampaging "TERFs" attacking trans people, a springboard for advocating GRA Reform, LGBTQ teaching in schools, and on . . . and on . . . and on . . . even when known to be Fake News.

But a jolly joke about lynching a feminist, the public execution of a woman for wrong-think? Nothing to see here. Calm down, dear!

Coming the day after trans activists were crowing over Magdalen Berns death - where is the equivalent MSM outrage??

Any news outlet and any politician that does not join the dots and condemn the normalisation of violence against feminists is complicit.

MrGsFancyNewVagina · 15/09/2019 09:42

Pride because trans rights are not necessarily the same as everyone else's rights

That’s very true. No one else has as many rights as the TRAs are demanding. Apply for ALL the awards. No matter the sex it’s intended for, play on both male and female sports teams, access all areas, even those with abused, vulnerable females in them, use violence against those pesky women but claim it was self defence because hurts words were used. Yup, they definitely don’t have the same rights as the rest of us.

NotTerfNorCis · 15/09/2019 09:18

It looked connected but can't check now - the tweet has gone.

TruthOnTrial · 15/09/2019 00:54

So was that anything to do with the trans lot, or just a shoot that happened to be going on at the time behind them?

Rose of Dawn was there, tweeting about it. With vids.

"Trans activist chants “We have trans rights!” before remembering that goes against the victim narrative".

jcurve · 14/09/2019 22:59

I happened to be in Waterstones on Piccadilly when they went past today. It wasn’t a big protest, a couple of hundred people at best. It was mostly bemused tourists taking photos, no one else seemed to care.

TruthOnTrial · 14/09/2019 21:37

I thought there were numbers expected in the thousands not the hundreds.Confused

Interesting the guardian saying its speaks volumes that trans want a separate 'pride'.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 14/09/2019 21:08

What rights don't they have?

They are MRAs. They want the right to enter all women's spaces without restriction.

Waffleswaffles · 14/09/2019 19:58

Quoted from the BBC:

"It is an amazing Pride and unfortunately it's a necessary Pride because trans rights are not necessarily the same as everyone else's rights," she said.

"My hope is for equality and for people to realise that we're normal, we're just like everyone else, nothing different."

I don't understand. They are the same as everyone else, but their rights aren't the same? What rights don't they have?

thirdfiddle · 14/09/2019 19:57

So they want to have a parade about how proud they are to be trans - but anyone who wants to photograph the parade is a violent hate group because someone might find out they're trans. Have I got that right? Or is it only photographs taken by women that are violent? Would explain the masks when attending women's events.

PegasusRex · 14/09/2019 19:45

just seen that one story on bbc news wasn't enough, they needed two. So lesbians marching isn't even a local news story (they were told) but trans pride is national x2.

Definitely no BBC bias here...

Rubidium · 14/09/2019 19:02

This is hilarious: medium.com/@TransSexEd/a-thought-about-pride-and-safety-4f811a16ec4c

"I write this in full knowledge of past events that have left trans people seriously at risk and vulnerable from the privileged members of hate groups, and from the police"

(i) if by 'privileged members of hate groups' you mean folks like the lesbians who marched in Leeds last weekend, well from the photos I saw they looked terrifying Hmm
(ii) surely the police have been fully Stonewalled and will be cheering you on with pink and blue flags and glitter?

TruthOnTrial · 14/09/2019 18:16

Yes, lesbians are lesbians that excludes as a category ither categories, like heterosexual women.

We don't need to march against them!

Women as a group excludes men as a group, and vice versa, we don't need to march against each other for being each biological sex.

We don't demand, for instance, to have prostate exams?!

But male born will need male based medical healthcare and checks or be at risk.

Aspley · 14/09/2019 18:04

I hope they all enjoyed their day.
Maybe some of them can reflect about why they wouldn't let lesbians have their own day the other weekend.

A Lesbian Strength march for exclusively homosexual females - why did trans activists object to that and counter protest? Just why?

The justification seems to be that lesbians are being exclusionary but that is simply our truth - to tell lesbians they must include males is nonsense

MagneticSingularity · 14/09/2019 16:00

Is it that time again? Comes around faster every year. I can’t help thinking we just had Trans Pride though. It went on for weeks and weeks as I recall...hang on, no, ignore me, that was Pride Pride, just seemed like Trans Pride since they appeared to be the only ones centered.

TruthOnTrial · 14/09/2019 15:30

That clenched fist alone on that black and dark green background looks aggressive and forboding.

I guess that's what they were aiming for.

Nice.

Well lets all have lots of happy fun at the secret (publicised), celebration (protest), under the umbrella of Pride (excluding all of the other pride members).

Hmm
TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 14/09/2019 15:12

I wonder how many people have turned up.

ChattyLion · 14/09/2019 14:32

Sorry, that should have read:

I guess also the ‘solidarity’ message we are supposed to take from the appropriative raised fist is part the constant inappropriate presentation of this ‘struggle’ as being the equivalent to terrible historical injustices

ChattyLion · 14/09/2019 13:47

I guess also the ‘solidarity’ message we are supposed to take from the appropriative raised fist is part the constant inappropriate presentation of this ‘struggle’ to terrible historical injustices, and the solidarity message is also a motif of that authoritarian way that ‘allies’ are always demanded to actively support the TRA agenda, on pain of being terrible transphobe, and underlying sense of not being safe themselves if they do not.

Again, in what way is this like other historical injustices? what rights are lacking for trans people in the UK that other people in the UK currently have?

Some of the shit I have seen ‘cis allies’ tweeting lately (like that we have to get rid of all prisons Hmm) is so fucking ridiculous that it’s almost like their moral overlords are just taking the piss and seeing how far they can push the handmaidenly loyalty.

TruthOnTrial · 14/09/2019 10:59

Since 1919 the clenched fist salute has been the symbol adopted by all communist parties throughout the world, Bolsheviks called it the red salute (also used by others like the Communards, the french revolutionaries, Mao tse-tung, black panther party, black lawyers for justice, et al)

Language thats appropriated and repeatedly used to describe something its not; calling communism , anti-fascism,/anti-colloniallism - revolution, liberation/ freedom - the party, the peace movement, and dictatorship of the proletariat, democracy! A tool of the communist movement.

The words are used to create an effect not to provide explanation or truth in search of understanding (Aesopian)

A lie told often enough becomes the truth - Lenin

Using language not as defined in the dictionary is a tool and weapon to deceive and manipulate reality, as defined, in the dictionary under Aesopian language - Webster’s Third New International Dictionary of the English Language Unabridged defines.

“Aesopian” - “language only understood by those indoctrinated in such verbiage.” Possony

A link to an article discussing clenched fist salutes, their origins, and intentions, where used, with intentions, and misappropriated unintentionally, fist bumps, etc.

Any parallels?

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 14/09/2019 10:06

I noticed how many trans men were featured in that article.

Zero.

Well done BBC: you know which sex to erase, don’t you?

Shethey · 14/09/2019 09:01

I’m glad there’s a Trans Pride March. They’ve every right to celebrate themselves. I’m sure they’ll be Transwomen out-womanning every one of us. Showing us how to pout, preen, walk in heels, apply our make-up, spend thousands on surgery and wigs and be totally fabulous. And I hope they’ll celebrate all the bound young trans men too, flaunting their scars and celebrating their body hair. And the only threat to their safety, if it arises at all, will come from where it always does - from men. I hope it passes off peacefully and that they have a ball. I honestly do. I just wish they afforded women the same space to protest, celebrate and debate too but hey ho.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 14/09/2019 08:41

When, when has a t*rf ever committed violence against anything but special feelings?

One example? Anyone?

As well as changing the meaning of man and woman this movement wants to change the meaning of violence too.

They'll be no counter protest (unlike when the lesbians marched in Leeds) because it's fine to gather in specific groups. They will have a nice peaceful march I'm sure.

🤷‍♀️
