How is it lazy? Not every man finds tight fitting underwear comfortable. You know, just like women wear different styles. In fact, tight fitting underpants aren't actually very healthy for males because testicles are meant to be away from the body, not held close to it (which is why men with fertility problems are advised to wear boxer shorts).

So skirts are not practical for boys and men unless you plan to compel them to wear a certain type of underwear which tbh would not be acceptable for girls would it?

It's everything to do with the practicalities of boys and men wearing skirts - given that they have external genitals which aren't always contained within their pants. Now, when wearing trousers that isn't a problem. When wearing skirts, however, it is. Can you not see that?

Boys have a penis and testicles. That does not mean that they cannot wear a skirt. What it means is that they require suitable underwear to accommodate their genitals; in a similar way to girls wearing a bra. And , in fact, a skirt would disguise and hide their protuberance far more than a pair of trousers would.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? Where currently sells boys school skirts? Nowhere. So boys will have to buy girls skirts. So a year 11, 12 stone 6 foot boy can wear a year 11 girls skirt yes? Cos you get a lot of 12 stone, 6 foot girls don't you?

So, even if they can get them around their waist they will be incredibly short.

If boys wore skrits too, then the skirt would become less of an gendered item - resulting in less need to make it a sexualised one.

No, I genuinely cannot. Once one does it, it makes it possible for other to do so. That is how progress happens. One of my sons had beautiful, long blond hair when at secondsry school- in spite of most of the other boys having short hair.

My DD doesn't like trousers, at all - leggings or skirts/dresses only - she doesn't like the feel of them.

The most equal option is to give the full range of choice to both sexes: skirts, shorts, trousers. It will most likely be the alpha male that decides to brave the skirt, anyway.
