Sounds terribly dangerous.
RIP to all of you who literally fell off the cliff. So sad. So much literal violence.

"How was being humiliated in court Helen? You deranged muppet"

Ha ha ha!!! KatvonHostileExtremist

"How did you spend your evening, Mimmymuppet?"

"The usual - poring over other people's Twitter stats then cackling like a psychotic jack-in-the-box and making an arse of myself for the amusement of Mumsnetters!"

"How about you, Glinner?"

"There's this amazing woman, Magdalen Berns! A feminist icon, so warm and funny and intelligent. She's dying but she had time for me and I'm going to tweet all about her because if you don't know about her, you should! Her videos are amazing!!!"

(Trips merrily away to check if Twitter has also auto-unfollowed me too!)

ErrolTheDragon · 08/09/2019 12:28

I just started listening to the Paris lees proctor&gamble thing, having not realised it was an old thread - didn't get very far before I was too bored but did note the interviewer mentioning PLs massive social media following - faux modest 'I don't count them but 70 thousand on twitter'. So... about the same number as glinner has, for whatever reason lost?Grin

youkiddingme · 07/09/2019 22:52

I literally think I may interpret 'literally' in a way which is literally different to that of quite a few people on twitter. #talkingbollocksliterallypays

MagneticSingularity · 07/09/2019 16:27

I mean, yes, talk about shooting yourself in the foot, Helen, you draw attention to a downturn and people who weren’t aware they’d unfollowed are now re-following (or whatever the approved twitter term is) and people who weren’t following are now following. Wouldn’t be surprised if today’s graph shows a sudden sharp climb.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 07/09/2019 16:24

I imagine she’d be quite quite awful on the gin.

Weezol · 07/09/2019 15:44

It was ever so kind to draw everyone's attention to this apparent glitch in the system.
Perhaps we should all nominate Mimmy for a bottle of gin on the giveaway thread. For services to GC Feminism.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 07/09/2019 15:27

I like the idea of those two getting merrily tipsy and laughing at the world.

exLtEveDallas · 07/09/2019 15:26

He went and got gently pissed with Magdalen the other day. If I wasn't already following him, that would have earned a follow straight away! Mimmymum is an arse that had to protect her tweets because she was an arse. No one is really that interested in her tweets, so this one was just a way to get some attention.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 07/09/2019 15:20

I think he's been very successful holding onto his followers, given the nature of this discussion.

How was being humiliated in court Helen? You deranged muppet. Grin

raisinseverywhere · 07/09/2019 15:19

Well I definitely didn’t unfollow glinner, and also another popular GC man that I follow, that so it does look like Twitter is removing followers. Unless it’s just a glitch Hmm

DickKerrLadies · 07/09/2019 15:07

If you're reading - thanks!

Weezol · 07/09/2019 14:44

Me too. I was following long before all this kerfuffle. Have checked other GC bods and it seems Glinner is getting special attention.

I believe that would be an ecumenical matter.

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 07/09/2019 13:31

Hmm, I'd somehow unfollowed him too despite not actually unfollowing him.
I think Twitter has been tinkering behind the scenes again Hmm

AlunWynsKnee · 07/09/2019 00:25

FatherCliff perhaps?

ErrolTheDragon · 06/09/2019 22:47

You could be Cliffhanger, VforViennetta

SirVixofVixHall · 06/09/2019 22:01

I find molasses cake very restoring on hilly walks, or for sitting gazing at a vista beyond the ha-ha.

Weezol · 06/09/2019 21:37

Twunk You can get Kendal Mint Cake delivered to anywhere in Europe.

MagneticSingularity · 06/09/2019 21:04

VforViennetta how about, well, BarnacleontheCliff - or is that a bit outing? Grin

VforVienetta · 06/09/2019 20:56

Well I've been meaning to sign up for Twitter for a while, now seems to be a good time. I'll be a barnacle on the cliff.
Any good username suggestions?

Twunk · 06/09/2019 20:47

OMG I LOVE Kendal mint cake. I will need to get someone to send it to me. No mountains in The Netherlands.

Twunk · 06/09/2019 20:46

When I looked (some time ago) it was around what it is now. But yeah, she needs to learn to read graphs.

MrsTerryPratchett · 06/09/2019 20:32

Principles but no ha-ha.

nettie434 · 06/09/2019 20:25

I have followed Glinner since I joined Twitter years ago so am writing this while hurling down a precipice. There has been a huge campaign to stop people following him. I have seen tweets from people saying they cannot follow anyone who follows Glinner. He has lost followers but his tweets are now more serious and less focused on gaming or comedy. He is the exception to the rule that men who stand up for women’s rights get much less grief than women. Anyway, back to my descent - any spare crampons anyone?

SirVixofVixHall · 06/09/2019 20:15

MrsTP you threw away the ha-ha ! You are clearly a woman of principle.

MrsTerryPratchett · 06/09/2019 20:10

@SirVixofVixHall I once went out with a man whose family had a ha-ha. I dumped him. I could have a ha-ha now if I'd played my cards right. Dammit.
