Vox article on rise of TERFS!

Just came across this article on Facebook, Vox page. Aside from being extremely badly written is also a terrible representation of what gender critical means comparing it to being a white supremacist! I can’t formulate a good response right now I’m too angry 😡

thegiantgirl I didn't see the posts in question, but as I understand it, a PBP with a prominent Adam's apple is using sock accounts merrily and one may have popped up on your thread. You are not being considered a troll.

They didn't 'have a meeting with right wing twats'. 'Right wing twats' was the the only organisation that would host an event about - among other things - a mother's perspective on losing her child to ROGD. All blame for any unfortunate associations there accrue to all the 'right minded' organistions who were too bloody chicken and too bloody anti-mother to give UK feminists and US parents of ROGD kids space and an audience.

Regarding the article, I honestly wouldn't mind reading stuff from an opposing perpective, if that perspective was grounded in fact. If you don't know what gender critical feminists actually believe, then you have no business writing an article about gender critical feminists. And you certainly don't deserve an audience. It's just fake news.

A group of feminists DID go and have a meeting about this with rightwing twats. I was annoyed about it at the time, but as i said, its a cross party issue and i decided that i appreciate they are activists for a cause i believe in and have done good, but i dont agree with the constant assertion now that radical femininsts are now in bed with the far right as a result which was pretty obvious it would happen.
I only said it as a response to a question someone asked

There are a lot of women on here all with different lives opinions experiences etc. It's hardly surprising that lots are not impressed that as a group there is no longer a word to describe us, and the consequences re prisons, sports, places we used to have privacy from men etc

To be fair, the article states gender-critical people and right wing doxxers and stalkers are working together.

Yes, it's amazing how hypocritical the article is in complaining about people judging trans people on the actions of a few when it then does exactly the same thing about GC people.

And celebrating the shutting down of MichFest when one of the most prominent campaigners against it then went on to kill a lesbian couple and their son is ever so slightly crass to my mind.

I was going to say that Vox needs to sort out a fact checker, but then I saw it was written by the odious Katelyn Burns and realised that it would be quicker just to shred the whole article. Burns is a bloody awful writer as well as a liar.
