Male violence is a terrible thing. It's shameful that so many men are too uncomfortable to confront it for what it is, but not really a surprise.

My sympathies to the family and friends of Tracy Single.

Most of the murders of transwomen in the US are of sex workers murdered by punters or like this one, murdered by an intimate partner. Being a sex worker carries something like a 35-fold risk of being murdered compared to someone who isn’t a sex-worker. Stop pretending that trans women are being murdered by groups of rampant transphobes roaming the streets, fuelled by radical feminism. They are murdered because the sorts of men who use prostitutes see them as human garbage, whatever their sex or gender-identity. Yes, that’s right, the sex industry that you constantly defend as offering empowerment. Hate to tell you but it doesn’t.
