I think RM is very wise to stick to self-adoration via mirror and in loftily refusing to address the (embarrassingly) poor take up rate for tickets to the event. I'm not at all surprised that talk was cancelled! I was wondering at the time who the target audience was meant to be. TRAs like to talk a good game about supporting each other, but how many of them were really going to pay 25 quid for this?

As an aside, £25 would be ambitious for a really great speaker. I always did wonder who was going to cough that up for an obscure academic/cyclist.

The Sharron Davies/FPFW/Women’s Place one was under a tenner IIRC. And it was packed. About 700 women (and a handful of men). It’s almost as if one side of this debate translates to real life action or something, eh? And one side...really doesn’t.
