Is this really the right place to be insinuating that we are somehow softer than men??
Cricketmum, physically we are, as women, on average, quite literally, softer. We have less muscle, more subcutaneous fat, and smaller, less dense bones. Face facts - there is no shame in physical weakness. My elderly father is no less a person just because I could push him over with my little finger (during one of his rare ventures from his bed, across his room, to the bathroom, in his care home).
How incredulous they shall be in years to come!
I shall never forget being handed my wonderful son by the midwife: after three daughters the difference was illuminating. He was so much denser (though not bigger as such), my girls seemed like birds in comparison. Not all infants, or adults, will follow these averages, but the probability of injury is exponentially higher when men play physically against women!
