On twitter, seems true enough. Lets hope they confiscate all the computer equipment.

Whoever gets a police guard on their home while they are being questioned by the cops? More narcissism. I remember seeing a report of a complaint made to the police about JY's sexual behaviour with young girls and the police said JY was on their radar but always managed to stay just the right side of the law. Hopefully this incident is what they've been waiting for to start a thorough investigation.

Yeahnahyeah · 07/08/2019 04:39

Jemima the mother took away an overnight suitcase, according to a neighbour. Which makes sense as JY stayed overnight in cells.
I do think this is only about the weapons, sadly. At this stage anyway.

JemimaTab · 07/08/2019 04:24

JY “says” the police were there to protect the apartment - but I don’t think that’s true. It’s only JY’s word after all, and we know how reliable that is. A resident of the block is claiming that local police were guarding the apartment until the federal police could get there to perform the search. Apparently JY plus mother turned up and kicked up a fuss when they were denied access, which would not be consistent with JY’s story of the police just looking after the apartment for them while they were down the nick.

Yeahnahyeah · 07/08/2019 03:53

Whoops my last sentence sounded wrong. I meant that Yaniv is still benefitting from victimhood.

Yeahnahyeah · 07/08/2019 03:50

The farms are down again.
I'm glad Yaniv was arrested for weapons, but it seems the overnight police presence was only for protection of the apartment.
FFS, I wouldn't be surprised if the police are protecting Yaniv from Yaniv-haters.
Hmm

JemimaTab · 07/08/2019 03:28

I expect the local hospitals have a “process” for dealing with JY by now - they’re there practically every night.

BitOfFun · 07/08/2019 03:10

"Yaniv said that at the time of her arrest Monday, she had a seizure and was first taken to a hospital rather than the RCMP detachment. After tests and examination, she was taken to the detachment and locked in a cell."

From an update. Why am I so completely unsurprised?

I would LOVE to see a prosecution brought for timewasting of the health service. Unlikely, but warranted.

Ornery · 07/08/2019 03:07

Oh that old chestnut. Like ‘my brother posted using my account’ blah blah blah.

JemimaTab · 07/08/2019 03:02

OK so JY now says they called the police back to their apartment (after having been arrested and released for the taser stuff) in order to show them child abuse images they’d been sent?? I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this is another JY lie - and that the police uncovered child abuse images as part of their search (and JY is just getting their “explanation” into the press first). Either way, it looks like a big can of worms could be about to be opened.

Well done, Blaire White.

BitOfFun · 07/08/2019 01:44

Realistically, they should be searching Miriam's place too.

Trohmaniac · 06/08/2019 23:28

The mother has been seen picking up an overnight bag from JY’s apartment, possibly suggesting that they are expected to be excluded for a while.

My heart bleeds. I hope Yaniv is shitting himself. He's a predator.

JemimaTab · 06/08/2019 23:22

KF is an excellent source of information on many horrific specimens (not just Yaniv) and they can be quite amusing - they have interacted on occasion with MN posters and that’s been fairly good-natured.
They are now speculating that the police are indeed after the hard drives (as well as the taser). The mother has been seen picking up an overnight bag from JY’s apartment, possibly suggesting that they are expected to be excluded for a while.

RedToothBrush · 06/08/2019 23:04

Let me get this straight. The taser appeared in a threat made online to someone?

So the raid to find weapon is a given. But plenty of scope to see the extent of threats being sent online too. That would count as malicious communications in the UK.

The Malicious Communications Act 1988 (MCA) is a British Act of Parliament that makes it illegal in England and Wales to "send or deliver letters or other articles for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety". It also applies to electronic communications.

It in effect covers some forms of online harassment.

Now I don't know the law in Canada but there may well be equivalency of some kind.

Which might be enough for seizure of computer equipment for analysis.

I guess we will find out if this is the case, one way or another.

zebrasdontwearbras · 06/08/2019 22:51

Wow.

About time Yaniv's chickens came home to roost Wink

AncientLights · 06/08/2019 22:49

The search warrant does mention a prohibited weapon.

I don't pretend to understand Kiwi Farms either. They do call us T*s, but their hearts have been in the right place over this business.

TurboTeddy · 06/08/2019 22:46

The final paragraph does suggest the raid maybe about more than the taser. I'm glad the police are finally taking an interest. I dread to think what they might find on JY's hard drive.
Does anyone else wonder if JY has lost the protection of influential trans people now it's apparent they can't hide what a liability h* is.

BitOfFun · 06/08/2019 22:32

Breaking news- raid confirmed. Interestingly, while it has clearly been occasioned by the taser possession, the final paragraph does say that Ashley Smith was spoken to by the RCMP last night. Perhaps there is a wider remit after all?

JemimaTab · 06/08/2019 21:52

I’m not sure I’ve quite got a handle on what KiwiFarms is and why they’re there, but they have proved to have accurate sources on what JY is up to (including the multiple hospital trips, multiple previous visits from police, and screaming rows between JY and the mother at all hours). KF is down for the moment but there is a message on their site saying they expect service to be resumed within the hour.

AncientLights · 06/08/2019 21:40

Sorry Juells, I thought I had replied but must have left it as a preview & left the page. Yes, I meant Kiwi Farms as others have clarified. They really say what they mean on there, no mincing of words like here. I think it's hosted from the US so their laws on free speech apply. One of their posters has been confirmed to live very close to the Yanivs so sees what's going on.

JemimaTab · 06/08/2019 21:25

I saw a report on Twitter to the effect that JY’s apartment is still under police guard. I’m not sure how the police force works over in Canada, but someone has suggested that the local police are securing the apartment until the federal police can execute whatever searches they need to do. (If it’s federal, I assume it’s the taser business that has set this off, but we will see.)

BeyondDangerousTshirts · 06/08/2019 20:27

Apparently KF get frequent ddos attacks - whether this is one of those, who knows. But (again, apparently) it is fairly easy if you can afford it to pay for someone to do it on your behalf. Say if you were about to be arrested, and had seen people on there laughing at how you were about to be arrested...

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 06/08/2019 20:25

I literally wonder how far these people need to go before the authorities pull their heads out the sand.

Right now, there's not a lot. It won't always be like that, but we have a very very long way to go yet.

PreseaCombatir · 06/08/2019 20:23

It seems Yaniv & Mama are elsewhere and the apartment is under guard
So JY is not in police custody then? That’s a shame.
