I've been on Twitter again and seen another interesting thread but I'm not going to post it here so it can be picked apart.

Instead, although I know it's been asked before, to those of you who believe someone can be a woman without biologically being one I ask the question: What do you think should be put in place in law to provide safe spaces for trans people and women and what are you doing about it?

My conclusion: Living as a man is exactly the same as living as a woman, except men can pee standing up, and women can get pregnant. So how can a man live as a woman or vice versa?

Exactly, and i can use a chainsaw!

Whatthingsexactly · 01/08/2019 22:54

Augustian yes, absolutely. The attacks can be very personal.

OldCrone · 01/08/2019 22:54

You already have that information available to you from living your own life.

Yes, I do. Here's what I posted earlier.

Can you give some specific examples of ways in which living as a man is different from living as a woman? For example, if I were to swap lifestyles with my husband, the only change I would have to make would be to learn to use his chainsaw. But some women already use chainsaws, so that wouldn't mean I was 'living as a man' any more than I am now.

I honestly can't think of any differences between living as a man and living as a woman apart from biological stuff like peeing standing up and pregnancy.

Petrol the pain was in reference to the dragging up of 'cowbag bitches' which was more than adequately covered in the previous thread.

RosesAndRaindrops · 01/08/2019 22:51

Why start a thread about it if you find it so painful?

Good point, I mean why ask if you find it so hard or don't really want to listen?
It is hard and difficult subject. That's the whole point.
Which is presumably why it all keeps going circular.

Doyoumind · 01/08/2019 22:51

With crimes by TW being recorded as crimes by women, we are going to struggle to research anything.

Who the fuck are you to say - in response to a comment insultine others confused

Nothing in my post to Mewk was an insult - read it again without adding inflection that isn't there. Again, until today I have never engaged you.

How is that an insult then?

It is absolutely an insult in my culture - it equates to you are beneath me and I reject your validity. It is considered incredibly rude and likened to telling someone to either "fuck off" or "fuck you". How is that not a personal attack? I don't live in your bubble I can't read your mind and I don't add inflection to your words - I only read what's there.

Might have been said a bit aggressively yes, I'll take that

Okay, so you take aggression that you have against others out on people that you've never met or spoken to before, I see you.

FormerMediocreMale · 01/08/2019 22:50

So someone saying they want to educate us is misogynistic yet yesterday when a poster called some women "cow bag bitches" many posters didn't consider it misogynistic because the poster who said it appeared to be GC. You simply could not make this up. Honestly, the hypocrisy on here is astounding.

A woman calling other women "cow bag bitches* i would say is unpleasant and unneccessary but not misogyny. A man coming onto a feminist board to "educate" to me is misogyny. You obviously disagree which is your right.

OldCrone · 01/08/2019 22:49

Well if you can't even try to understand or even empathise at a push from this thread then there's no hope really.

What on earth are you talking about, roses?

PetrolBastard · 01/08/2019 22:48

Why start a thread about it if you find it so painful?

DecomposingComposers · 01/08/2019 22:45

Augustian

I completely agree and it is so refreshing to hear alternative views voiced on here.

DecomposingComposers · 01/08/2019 22:43

OldCrone

It really is hard to explain.

It appears very likely that there's more to the differences between men and women than purely biological physical differences.

Maybe the difference in crime rates attributable to trans women is proof that there are differences between them and natal men or maybe their criminal behaviour is a result of the difficulties that growing up trans has caused or maybe a mixture of the 2 or none of the above?

Clearly much more research is needed into this.

FormerMediocreMale · 01/08/2019 22:43

petrol

According to jelly beans chart im a man;

Ive always worked in STEM
I dont wear make up and rarely brush my hair - just run my fingers through it
I wear trousers and flat shoes, i cant walk in heels
Have always had more male friends than female - mostly due to career and interests

I could if i wanted change any of the above if i was so inclined.

The way i am a woman is my biology, which is what it is and cant be changed.

Doyoumind · 01/08/2019 22:41

God, it's physically painful. I'm not staying up late for this again.

I hear you, augustian

Doyoumind · 01/08/2019 22:39

To be fair, only mewk has said TWAW on this thread. I accept we're not going to get a definition from some posters and I don't think it's worth pushing for it but I would be really keen for mewk to come back and give us his take on it.

OP posts:
DecomposingComposers · 01/08/2019 22:36

That doesnt change the fact a man coming on to FWR saying he wants to "educate" us is condescending and mysoginist.

So someone saying they want to educate us is misogynistic yet yesterday when a poster called some women "cow bag bitches" many posters didn't consider it misogynistic because the poster who said it appeared to be GC. You simply could not make this up. Honestly, the hypocrisy on here is astounding.

OldCrone · 01/08/2019 22:36

In which case, why all of the threads criticising men for what they do? If men and women are the same apart from biological functions where do these behavioural differences come from?

That's a good point, and one with its own contradictions. For example, about 98% of sex offenders are male, so we might describe offences like rape and sexual assault as predominantly male offences, which are perhaps due to something which is characteristic of male brains. Yet when we look at the offending pattern of male self-identified transgender prisoners, we find that about 50% of them are in prison for sexual offences. So male transgender people commit sexual offences at a much higher rate than other males, when according to the lady brain theory, hardly any of these transgender prisoners should have been sexual offenders.

Hard to explain, isn't it?

RosesAndRaindrops · 01/08/2019 22:32

Please share what makes you a woman roses. So, do you think it's roses job to educate you NeurotrashWarrior?

Exactly, I mean dafuq, am I supposed to educate you now lol?
(Sorry descending to the level, must not, must not)
Thought were we just all sharing experiences and opinions......
Already said, if you can't or won't see, then blah, I said it on the other thread and now I'm saying it on here and never ending circular roundabout of bleh lol

PetrolBastard · 01/08/2019 22:30

You already have that information available to you from living your own life. You only seek for me to give some description of being a woman that you can seize on and claim that X, Y, or Z isn't being a woman. It's ultimately impossible for me to describe in brief summary what it is to be a woman, so I don't consider it purposeful to make an attempt.

RosesAndRaindrops · 01/08/2019 22:29

Why don't you tell me what the difference is between living as a woman and living as a man, and we'll see if my opinion changes. And I'm not asking for 'the difference between the lives of men and women' which is a different question entirely.

Well if you can't even try to understand or even empathise at a push from this thread then there's no hope really.

DecomposingComposers · 01/08/2019 22:29

It's not my job to educate you.

Not asking you to educate me. You are giving your opinion and I'm asking you about it, but seemingly you resent this because apparently that's me expecting To be educated.

Yet your very next post you then say

Please share what makes you a woman roses.

So, do you think it's roses job to educate you NeurotrashWarrior?

RosesAndRaindrops · 01/08/2019 22:28

Mewk on the other hand might actually have something of value to say beyond feelings so I am interested in what he has to say

Beyond feelings - says a lot
Why do I repeatedly keep being asked to try and define feelings then if you don't want to hear anything beyond feelings.

OldCrone · 01/08/2019 22:25

I'm still waiting for you to tell me how a detailed description of the difference between the lives and men and women is going to change your position on this matter. It's not, is it?

Why don't you tell me what the difference is between living as a woman and living as a man, and we'll see if my opinion changes. And I'm not asking for 'the difference between the lives of men and women' which is a different question entirely.
