This is a continuation of all that is JY and their waxing cases bought against minority women in Canada.

We are a fair way in, and still are no closer to knowing what the final judgment will be, but we have lots of info. and are finally seeing this case, and all the attending issues with self ID, in the public eye and main stream press.

Because there are no checks and balances involved as the people who set it up did not perceive the scale of abuse and the fact that it could become a tool of oppression? Tho' it's entirely predictable.

Never underestimate the power of naivete coupled with complacent laziness. I think it's a prime driver in how any of this has gained traction.

In an era where we rely on technology to supplement memories that we deem as tertiary to our sentimental core, we might ought to consider if technology is allowing us to take shortcuts while missing out on basic scientific and philosophical memory beginning with the difference between male and female, consent and rape and the vexatious use of the legal system to procure one’s self-delusion through fiat.

The whole tribunal is an absolute farce. I cannot believe the member is allowing this colossal shitfest to continue. We can all see what JY is. How can she allow this to continue?

Hahahah cute cartoon. Yes, it’s mad making huh. I think it’s healthy to make clever quips and to use sarcasm else we’d just loose the plot.

Oh and while my last post was obvs serious I got a meep meep in there and that made me happy.

I’m so confused about the 10 year old thing too. Hoping Elsie or the other place clears that up.

My understanding of the tribunal is that they have no power to compel and don’t investigate anything.
If the decision is appealed then this case would go to real court.
I think for women generally that would be a really good outcome.
For the women involved it would be terrifying.
For JY it would catastrophic.

Well that’s what I’d hope 😬

Yes I made a reply about this latest case in the JY Radio thread. JY is certainly gunning for MO, just in the lead up to elections to apparently (snigger). I love karma.

I'm absolutely gobsmacked about the comment regarding a 10 year old refusing service in Elsie's latest commentary. Unfuckingbelievable.
What sort of service does a 10 year old provide? I'm hoping it was something like (attached) I need to be light hearted here, because I just feel like screaming. Endlessly screaming. Never stopping.

Oh wow. JY is def on the gravy train now, and as well as chasing Ogre all over twitter is now also chasing the same tribunal cases.
JY even used the same wording in the tribunal application as Ogre.

In a post Tuesday at the Free North America forums, Whatcott revealed that Yaniv is seeking $35,000 for “gender identity or expression” discrimination for publicly referring to him in sidewalk preaching and a flyer as a “biological male” and a “I removed this as it’s unnecessary” looking to “prey on vulnerable biological women.”

Whatcott is problematic, doesn’t help himself, and I don’t like his language so this post is not to endorse Whatcott but as a comment on JYs current litigious behaviour

The trouble with democracy -one trouble anyways - is our complacency. We are too trusting. We think our liberties are well protected in law. We have no sense of how easily and perniciously laws can be amended when ideologues infiltrate the law schools and populate the benches, the bar associations and the law societies. The whole idea of human rights is being transmogrified before our eyes, and we sit there watching, superannuated classical-liberal deer in the progressive headlights.

But Gallus lost a decade of work, and a real community in the comments. I hope it builds back up into what it was, but it is a big loss and I'm still angry.

This really shows what an abuse of the system this case is.

But also how important it is to realise that any time you create a system without the means to safeguard itself, it can be twisted for malevolent ends.

We've had a tendency over the last while to act as if "vulnerable" groups don't need those kinds of safeguards in systems designed to help them. As if no person from a marginalised group would ever think of harming a system meant to help their group, wouldn't be capable of that kind of lack of respect.

But there are users and abusers in every population and they are always very good at seeing where they can get an advantage. And others will try and fit themselves in there as well if it affords an advantage.

But there are always people who will use whatever opportuities they can

Can't remember where I saw it but someone senior in the company (CEO? ) has been made aware of this claim and reports that the salon JY is claiming to have closed has simply relocated and the decision was not in anyway connected to the case before the BCHRT.

This is just vindictive and spiteful. Nothing to do with human rights - just punishing women, because JY is not one.

The blog from "Louise" is pretty damning. JY is mentally so unwell, and probably sexually dysfunctional. He's very damaged. Enabling him doesn't help him - but the psychopath/sociopath doesn't see that they're the damaged one.

Thank you for the info on costs, that's interesting. I can see why they wouldn't want to discourage someone from taking a case to tribunal because of monetary concerns but at the same time it seems extremely open to abuse - $150 in costs is hardly a deterrent when JY is chasing many times more than that.

I'll be pleased if JY loses, no matter the grounds. I'm pretty sure that it's too much to ask for that the tribunal will affirm that sex exists so I'll just hope that they at least affirm that women can't be compelled to touch a stranger's penis in their own homes. Baby steps...

Interesting that the charming Haddock, in this instance, uses the full LGBTQ+ which ignores the fact that most people are concerned with the T, specifically the implications of self ID rather than trans people generally. He also fails to mention why the T are more than a "little tetchy" nearly all the time.
