Apologies if people are already aware, but I was browsing through our favourite doctors twitter and saw that he has retweeted this thread from mimmymum.

It looks like she's been 'investigating' all the various crowdfunders which have been set up in defence of women's rights, and apparently dark money is funding all the transphobes!

They really don't want to believe that we can think for ourselves and donate our money wherever we want.

I can never take seriously a woman transactivist who dragged an actual transsexual into court on completely false pretences.

ShagMeRiggins · 15/07/2019 20:34

This makes me want to donate.

Weezol · 15/07/2019 20:32

BlooperReel DARVO innit?

TemporaryPermanent · 15/07/2019 20:23

We all remember that NSPCC ad saying 'Just £2 a month will help us recruit a Celebrities Manager with a more impressive contacts book'.

Big charities make most crowd funding look really legit (and fwiw i agree that crowdfunding is vulnerable to extreme dodginess, which doesn't mean these ones are dodgy).

I wonder who paid for that 'Pup' fetish tent for children at that pride the other week? Maybe MM could investigate that?

Well they are so so good at this ‘investigating’, they’re the perfect person for the job

£280000 isn't all that much is it?

It's just over half the grant that Mermaids were given to expand their network. And this is split between several campaigns

There's almost something about the accusations screaming "projection" isn't there....

Meanwhile LGBT charities raking in millions to ‘create awareness’ and using most of it to pay ‘staff salaries’

JessicaWakefieldSV · 15/07/2019 19:25

Is this the woman who made a fool of herself in court when she made a claim of transphobia against transsexual Miranda Yardley?

Those tweets are fucking hilarious?! What a flipping moron 😂 investigating? Laundering money? My god some people have serious delusions. None of it makes any sense milly molly minimummymum whateveryourstupidnameis

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/07/2019 19:06

Ok I confess that I am an international 💰 launderer.

OhHolyJesus · 15/07/2019 19:06

Comic relief and Children in Need issued some big cheques to trans charities recently too, including mermaids...will look up the numbers

JoyceJeffries · 15/07/2019 18:55

Hull has a population of just over 250k. Let’s assume that 1% are transgender which equates to just over £140 per transgender person to raise awareness. A rather generous amount in these times of austerity, bedroom tax and food banks.

FannyCann · 15/07/2019 18:49

The National lottery is spraying it around. £365K to Hull for workshops with nail technicians, hairdressers, beauticians and make up artists, promoting trans awareness.
We should invite JY over. That'd raise awareness alright. Wink

Lordamighty · 15/07/2019 18:32

I’ve donated to a few of those, nothing dark about my hard earned cash you ninny.

nettie434 · 15/07/2019 17:58

I'm more intrigued by the amounts handed out by the Scottish government to prominent trans groups when public funding is stretched thin for other types of charities.

Yes - sharp contrast Nonnymouse. I vaguely remember somebody on here looking at Stonewall and commenting similarly on the amount that came in via grants.

When Obama was first elected, his campaign was funded by many small donations. Why is it so strange to think that crowdfunders would not work the same way?

dolorsit · 15/07/2019 17:50

Not read it all but the thread appears to libel Linda Bellos. You might want to edit that Mimmymum.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 15/07/2019 17:46

Eyes up depleted bank balance
Notes amounts sent to most of these crowd funders
Considers own income via my own blood, sweat and tears

Feels very cheerful that so many woman (and men) share my concerns about these toxic organisations. It's great to see it all summarised like this and to see the real difference we are making against this bloated government funded movement.

A really positive start to the week.

MrsSlocombesPussy · 15/07/2019 17:37

I like this quote
Emboldened by the lack of successful legal action against their increasingly blatant transphobia, some “gender critical” individuals have turned to crowdfunders to finance their campaigns

Desperate indeed

It's also a useful reminder of where to donate when I want to launder another £10

Hellmistress · 15/07/2019 17:30

I'm taking this as a sign that they're becoming desperate. If they were fully confident that all this regulatory capture et cetera was working and will work, they wouldn't need to bother.

Keep pulling!

Lumene · 15/07/2019 17:25

Mimmy Mum should right for the Daily Mail, she has their style down perfectly. Hints, associations, suggestions, rumours.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 15/07/2019 17:24

mimmymuuuuummmmmy bless!

mimmy's hobbies:
*monitoring mumsnet while attempting to not spontaneously combust
*getting laughed out of court for trying to have a transwoman prosecuted for transphobia

and now look at this!

I read down the list and I've donated to nearly all of those. Is this fruitloop suggesting I don't exist? OMG SO INVALIDATING.

Did I also imagine the 800 plus people in the QE2 centre last wednesday? I seriously only had one in the pub before.

JoyceJeffries · 15/07/2019 17:23

She’s too thick to investigate anything.

TirisfalPumpkin · 15/07/2019 17:15

'I've investigated' - lol, no you haven't.

I am also interested in where the big donations came from. They're not 'shady powerful ally' level of enormous, but they are pretty hefty, definitely beyond average woman on the street's spare £, like most of TT's donations were.

I am wondering if it's more sportswomen, politicians or other public figures who don't feel able to be publicly GC at the moment and are supporting in the best way they can.

But, you know, that's only the most likely explanation for anonymous substantial donations to a controversial cause. Why go with that when an elaborate conspiracy theory about dArK mOnEy!! is available.
