You can add us to the list of feminists suspended from Twitter. Our tweet was in response to Mhairi Black's misogynist tweets about women who object to the colonisation of our sex.

Here's Mhairi mocking women who want to maintain single sex spaces

We don't believe that the truth is hateful, and will appeal our suspension. Twitter allows us to connect with our networks and tell people what's going on, it's the modern public square.

Twitter, Facebook, YouTube et al have immense power, they get to shape the narrative by deciding who gets to share their views, and who doesn't. But, they aren't omnipotent. We will organise and build our movement. We'll do whatever we have to in order to keep spreading our message of women's liberation. Women were doing this long before Twitter, and we'll be doing it long after. Twitter can't stop us.

Solidarity and sympathy. Twitter suspensions are so arbitrary. I've tweeted the same facts as you with no comeback. I've been reported a few times, but Twitter has always said there were no violations of its rules, including for the following just this week:

Fionne is a transwoman and as such, she is, like all other transwomen, biologically male. Human beings cannot change sex.

Yet higher profile GC women have been banned for saying this. So unfair. I do hope you are appealing.

There is, and it's great ... up to a point. I've had messages in the trans subject area deleted by MN for ... really nothing, as far as I could see.

It's obvious that this is a concerted attack on the free speech of women. Heterosexual males don't like it up them but are quite happy to do it to women, whatever their sexual orientation.

That's just ridiculous. I follow yous and you're great so it's a loss to the platform. But, as already said, twatter is just a poxy website. Even if we're banned from it, we all still exist in real life and a few woman-haters can't control us there - hence the rage.

If it comes down to it, we can organise a movement to get millions of women off twitter and onto women controlled platforms. Half the world's population are female.

I'd like to say I'm surprised but yours is not the first twitter to be suspended for stating facts.

Is there a public list on a website somewhere of every gender critical person who has been banned from Twitter and what for? If not there needs to be. I think someone was collating it on twitter? That isn't a very secure home for the info though

@TheClitterati we saw that, too. It was Fionne Orlander, a sensible and moderate person who understands what's what, and understands women's boundaries.

@Yeahnahyeah some of our members were at the WPUK meeting (not me sadly, and I'm incredibly jealous!).

Unbelievable that you can banned from twitter for stating a statistical fact, which can be backed up with evidence.

Other women have been banned from twitter for saying:

  • Men are more violent.
  • Only males can rape, in UK law you have to have a penis to commit rape.

There is something deeply rotten about Twitter. And Facebook. I don't think it's hyperbole to say we should be worried - it is such a powerful platform - Twitter & FB are shaping society. Affecting the outcome of elections.
