JY’s parent sounds like an absolute loon. It would explain a lot.

Nazi email says
- JY has become too powerful and too much of a role model to LGBT and women/girls. So Nazis will switch their focus to JY and deal with Morgane Oger later.

sneakypinky · 08/07/2019 12:48

Where is he even putting the tampons? Up his bumhole?

LangCleg · 08/07/2019 12:46

I find myself unable to comment and simultaneously stay within the forum rules.

FeministCat · 08/07/2019 12:41

Just as a note, this is not the “Canadian authorities”. This is not a federal matter. This is the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal which has authority under the provincial B.C. Human Rights Code. It is also not a court but an administrative tribunal so has little precedential value outside of other similar fact situations in that same tribunal (ie JYs other complaints).

No, JY does not have to have legal representation in that forum and thus it is free to make a complaint but I think the usual applies: if the other side gets legal counsel you are foolish not to do the same. And the tribunal can award costs for improper conduct etc so we will see how JY holds himself.

I wish this was being followed in the media here. I don't think I know anyone who would be happy with this situation, but I do know a lot of people who don't think it could happen.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 08/07/2019 12:35

The obsession with tampons and periods with this person is a big neon sign warning they’re a disturbed fetishist... but still this lunacy is entertained

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 08/07/2019 12:35

Love this: “defendant is not being asked to wax a gender identity”. So fucking true.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 08/07/2019 12:30

Just read that link and feel sorry for everyone who has got tangled up in the batshittery that JY is spinning. JY comes off as absolutely delusional and chaotic and frankly not well. And the parent comes off the same. Fucked up and bizarre scene.

terfsandwich · 08/07/2019 12:29

His mother sounds bonkers.

terfsandwich · 08/07/2019 12:28

My understanding is that someone accusing of a human rights breach pays nothing.
The accused must pay to defend themselves. Down on the farm the discussion stated that in USA a fee exists to stop serial litigators like JY. In Canada he can operate with impunity. Let's not forget he's been bringing complaints against anyone he doesn't like for years.

BluebonicPlague · 08/07/2019 12:15

How is JY funding this case? Do they get legal aid for this sort of thing in BC? And what about the defendant?

I am surprised it doesn't seem to have been mentioned in court yet that had the female defendant proceed to wax JY, this could have resulted in serious injury. Male intimate waxing is an entirely different skill.

emerencealwayshopeful · 08/07/2019 11:47

It's not that one woman who stands to lose a lot. I mean, it is in the short term. But long term - its all women.

This case will set a precedent in a legal system that relies on precedent. That it is barely being reported is chilling.

andyoldlabour · 08/07/2019 11:39

Whilst it may be obvious to all but the brainwashed, that JY is deliberately using 2 identities in order to misrepresent themself into falsely tricking someone into providing a service which they would otherwise not be allowed, the shocking fact is that Canada has fully bought into this madness.
I feel sorry for the poor Sikh woman who is an innocent bystander in this farce, and stands to lose a lot if common sense doesn't prevail.
At the the moment, common sense seems to be in short supply.

RolyWatts · 08/07/2019 11:32

Ffs what a circus.

I love the statement -

You can not wax a gender identity

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

LizzieSiddal · 08/07/2019 11:31

It’s a disgrace that the press aren’t covering this. Surely little OJ has something to say about this?

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 08/07/2019 11:23

Yeah but the Times, the Daily Mail and the Spectator would be all over it. Pluralism innit? Something I am increasingly grateful for

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 08/07/2019 11:14

Can you imagine the British press ignoring something like this? Even though things aren’t perfect here, I can’t, thankfully

You can bet they do, the guardian and BBC would be the first to ignore it.

Really pleased it’s being tweeted at least

Datun · 08/07/2019 10:51

I'm sure JY won a hearing where their identity was to be kept confidential, didn't he?

They can't call JY a transwoman because it's outing they can't call them a man, as misgendering. So they can't actually mention the genitals in a newspaper.

Which could account for the reporting restriction. How do you report it without actually reporting it, as it were?

Idiocy. And they didn't see this coming????? Do they live in a bubble?

BlooperReel · 08/07/2019 10:27

If this doesn't highlight, in neon, JY's fetishism, predatory and litigious nature, then nothing will. If JY 'wins' this case, the world is fucking doomed.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 08/07/2019 10:14

I am not sure that this case is in JY's best interests. This person appears to be quite unwell.

I hope the legal system staff are being well paid, I'd want a significant raise to deal with this shit.

OvaHere · 08/07/2019 10:10

I can't believe not a single journalist has attended. Whilst on one hand it's utterly ridiculous drama from JY it's still an important case re wider implications.

Reading that tweet thread the whole things sounds utterly bonkers with the parent storming in and out periodically and calling out paramedics.

I can't imagine anyone not seeing the situation for what it is. If the Canadian authorities find in favour of JY then they are a lost cause. I don't know what else to say really.
