JY’s parent sounds like an absolute loon. It would explain a lot.

I'm interested in the Canadian system's duty of care towards the complainant.

If the person bringing the complaint is, even to this arm chair psychiatrist, bat shit, e.g. citing examples of menstruation which is irrelevant to their case, and the twitter trail showing that they are clearly a bit of a worry - don't they have a duty of care to have ht complainant assessed before putting them up int he legal system?

I mean. It's just so nonsensical.

BatShite · 08/07/2019 21:43

Given JY was basically balldemort for a long time, even using his name at all was an instant deletion and ban on so much of the internet..I would say the restrictions are totally within character and usual for anything to do with this disgusting paedophile pervert. Stupid decision by whoever made it, but within character, and what one would expect to experience in anything to do with him.

MadameButterface · 08/07/2019 21:38

This whole thing is crackers maracas, i am boggled by it

Jy is an absolute car crash of a human

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 08/07/2019 21:34

I've just read a bit more about JY and feel sick. An off planet cage is the safest place for perverts like that. The period and tampon obsession is disgusting.

LassOfFyvie · 08/07/2019 21:07

but JY is pressing the view that conflict with religion should not be considered as a valid reason to 'opt out' as JY puts it. JY is asking for a hierarchy of need that puts trans at the top as the trump card

UK law puts disability over religion (Muslim taxi driver refusing to take a guide dog was discrimination)

I read the Twitter thread- perhaps it was a mistake emphasising the beautician was a Sikh rather than a beautician with no relevant expertise and training. You can't be forced to provide a service where you have no competency.

The reporting restrictions are ridiculous. The world and its spouse knows who JY is.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 08/07/2019 21:04

I'm reading the parent thing as the parent attempting to stop the case

I assumed it was because if JYs ill health? (brain tumour, strokes, and some other stuff too I think?)

sakura184 · 08/07/2019 21:04

JY is pressing the view that conflict with religion should not be considered as a valid reason to 'opt out'

And yet gynecologists can opt out of giving women abortions on religious grounds

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/07/2019 21:01

It may well be selfish because clearly JY is not well at all, but I'm glad the parent was unable to stop proceedings. This stuff needs to be drawn to the public's attention. Mindboggling that the mainstream media isn't there. What's happened to Canada?

Michelleoftheresistance · 08/07/2019 21:01

I agree Lass , you'd think it's an open and shut case, but JY is pressing the view that conflict with religion should not be considered as a valid reason to 'opt out' as JY puts it. JY is asking for a hierarchy of need that puts trans at the top as the trump card.

I had thought that this would be as simple as you say: not a service provided by this business. But the court seem to be allowing all kinds of debate and bullshit into this situation. I don't understand why.

frazzled1 · 08/07/2019 21:00

JY just tweeted Hmm... obviously I can answer this.

Some sort of patient questionnaire? JY getting thrills from it no doubt. What does this do to someone with obvious MH issues. And surely health care providers don't believe humans can change sex....

Redshoeblueshoe · 08/07/2019 20:59

Flavia that's how I read it too

FlaviaAlbia · 08/07/2019 20:57

I'm reading the parent thing as the parent attempting to stop the case because they think JY has MH issues.

Satterthwaite · 08/07/2019 20:51

Thanks Manderleyagain. I found the link in the other thread and it's been updated.

What. The. Actual. Fuck 😱

Manderleyagain · 08/07/2019 20:42

Satterthwaite it's only a twitter thread at the mo. But you can see most of twitter even if you are not on twitter (possibly not on a phone). Follow the link upthread and see what you can see.

Natsku · 08/07/2019 20:37

Some serious mental health issues going on here, JY needs treatment, not validation.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 08/07/2019 20:33

Absolutely batshit. There should be a desert island, or even better, a distant planet, for deviants like that. The parents sound equally batshit. Why on earth would paramedics be needed?? It's like the script of a really shit, spoof teenage film.

LassOfFyvie · 08/07/2019 20:30

This case is asking for a legal precedent to be set as to whether gender identity takes precedent over all other protected characteristics and women's rights

If JY wins that the beauticians still have the right to say waxing a penis and scrotum is not a service they provide. The refusal has nothing to do with protected characteristics. It never was. They don't provide this service to any body with that configuration. Having that configuration is not a disability.

It's no different from a basic barber shop saying, sorry I don't do that fancy highlight thing involving tin foil- not because of your "protected characteristic" but because I don't know how to and don't want to learn how to.

Satterthwaite · 08/07/2019 20:19

Where can the updates tweets be seen if one is not on Twitter?

BatShite · 08/07/2019 20:17

For fucks sake, on the more updated tweets..

JY asks BH why she is scared about periods.

Not wanting to do an intimate wax on someone whilst they are on their (hypothetical of course in this case Hmm ) period does not make someone scared of periods..

Michelleoftheresistance · 08/07/2019 20:15

arranbubonicplague · 08/07/2019 20:10

I wonder if any Human Rights lawyers are looking at the conflict between individual and group rights here and feeling a little queasy.

BatShite · 08/07/2019 20:05

No certification for doing male waxing?! I find that hard to believe, no training courses or anything, given how..delicate the area is? Unless its more that its rare for men to want intimate waxes or something. But I doubt it, seems to be a bit of a trend at the min

terfsandwich · 08/07/2019 19:59

Brown women are not allowed to say no.

The "details about periods while waxing" questioning is sexual harassment. It is clearly fishing for info to support sexual gratification.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 08/07/2019 19:54

At what point will it click

People knowing and people actually caring are massively different things.

happydappy2 · 08/07/2019 19:53

JY is doing a sterling job of showing the world why women need female only spaces-to keep them safe from delusional males.
The tampon/young girl obsession is sickening & we can all see it.
