AB was a former respondent. Before AB finally found representation, she was turned down by 26 lawyers! All told her just to settle! Not going into more details but knowing what I know, everyone supporting the waxing ladies & sex based rights in Canada owes a huge debt to AB!
Well done AB but how shocking that 26 lawyers turned her down. This shows how much power the ideology holds.
JY is a symptom of this acceptance without exception.

So happy the ban has been lifted, but, will the women respondents be protected. Apologies if I've missed something previously, it's just that I mean let's face it we've all read the tweets, the Y family come across as quite vindictive and threatening. I hope the women are protected.

Wasn't Lindsey Shepherd the one who was vilified by her male bosses at university for even referring to a bit of Jordan Peterson's speech about pronouns?

Fortunately, she taped it. And their bullying, incoherent nonsense was heard by everyone.

I'm pleased to see that she's making a point about women's voices being ignored and that even in the middle of the shit show at the BCHRT there is no one from MSM stepping up to report it. We shall see what happens now the publication ban has been lifted. I imagine that MM will have a field day now after JY had her banned from twitter for misgendering.

Yeahnahyeah I meant the publication there doesn't mean it has got in Canadian mainstream press yet. But its a good sign. I have read some good articles in quilette and I like spiked on free speech.

Well the creepy men in basements will certainly be stalking this thread, as they stalk all the FWR ones, reporting heresy and silencing women. I often wonder if it involves candles and bells. I'm sure they'll have reported that post for you.

We've been using male pronouns for JY for ages (what with him being male). Mumsnet - more radical than someone who appears on a quick google to be a libertarian blowhard.

Yeah Lord I'm not sure what the mod position is now that the naming ban has been lifted. The news articles I've linked to above have named this person, so I've copied my posts in case they go poof here.

I can't remember who upthread mentioned posting a card to the women, but i think it's likely a card in an unsealed envelope wouldn't make it to Canada. The lawyers can open it (you could even put a note on the outside to that effect?).
