Am I reading this right - there was a Mermaids stall AND the puppy fetish stall at the same event? This is all so messed up.

When I was young we were only worried about nuclear subs in UK bases and little things like ww3 breaking out.

Noticeable that it went from "trans rights" which includes all trans people, with 75% of the youngsters being referred to gender clinics being girls, to "trans women" who we all know are men.
This is a men's rights movement.

My teenage son was at this event for a bit. He'd not intended to go but was persuaded by friends he was out with. Even though I'd spoken to him lots about this stuff, I don't think he truly 'got it' until he saw what happened there. He was ranting at me about science, truth and 1984 for quite some time after he got home!

I'd suggest gin...but I think this calls for shots.

I have yet to click on your links, I live in Lancaster but did not go to the Pride event, I did hear about the puppy tent and the general discord and wish I had gone.
As a straight person I don't know whether my support of the lesbian demonstrators would have counted for anything? However I am appalled at what I have read so far so will continue to read all the above.

Yes. I work off oxford street and can confirm that they are all there. Almost every single sodding shop proudly showing its colours. This never happened before - even last year there wasn’t a unicorn vomit of rainbows.

Just this evening I was discussing with DS2 about the topic he selected for a history assignment (people or events) they are given a big list to select from. He was considering Jonestown, but didn't know much about it. I explained that the horror of Jonestown spawned the phrase "Drinking the Koolaid", and the sentiment behind it. His response " So they were brainwashed."

I think your video, showing the reaction of the counter protestors, would be an excellent modern day example to show how that rubbish still happens.
