What happens when a group of lesbian show up on the steps of Lancaster Town hall on Pride day with megaphone and banners emblazoned with the words 'Lesbians don't have penises' & 'Lesbian = female homoSEXual ?

Find out tomorrow when Resisters United release our side of the story.

Thread will be updated in real time tomorrow. Twitter users please retweet.

Many thanks.

No sorry Eaudear if thats ok with you. its my view and i dont feel that it needs to be justified, just as i am not asking you to justify yours.

Oh, I'm perfectly happy to justify mine Smile

Don't worry, I'm used to people making statements on this subject, calling women bigots and then not having the guts to back it up. Same old.

Solidarity.

Most of the time people can explain the thought process behind holding an opinion.

I find those that can't tend to not understand the opinion at all and are parroting others.

Bespin · 30/06/2019 09:52

not at all, thats what other people on here do lol

birdsdestiny · 30/06/2019 09:50

Bit confused. Two pretty much identical posts with two different user names. Are you posting under two names bespin?

Bespin · 30/06/2019 09:49

Eaudear · 30/06/2019 09:48

no it is not necessary to do that but it is peoples right to do that as long as they don't hurt people while doing so. That is the nature of free speech after all and we all support that here don't we.

And you don't see any irony with blocking out lesbian's banners at a Pride festival, no?

Eaudear · 30/06/2019 09:46

but no one should not feel safe even the people with bigoted views who attend pride.

Could you expand on 'bigoted views' here and how those original banners were 'bigoted' please?

Bespin · 30/06/2019 09:45

JoyceJeffries · 30/06/2019 09:45

Fake lesbians 😂😂😂
Whiff of desperation with that statement Bespin.

Eaudear · 30/06/2019 09:44

Because at pride there are a far larger number of lesbians who support trans rights than don't as is repeated every time you do this at a pride event.

What has lesbians publically stating that their sexual orientation does not include penis got to do with 'trans rights'?

What 'rights' are referring to there?

The 'right' for a transwoman to sleep with lesbians?

Bespin · 30/06/2019 09:43

Fake lesbians, there have just been other posts stating that the people opposing them might also be fake lesbians. it seems to be a tactic on both sides then.

If you feel pride is unsafe for lesbians then you better tell the 1000s of lesbians that attend and have no issue about it at all. The people that don't feel safe are the ones making others not feel safe. but no one should not feel safe even the people with bigoted views who attend pride.

feelingverylazytoday · 30/06/2019 09:40

Bespin so it's necessary to block out banners that contain the truth to support trans rights then?

ZebrasAreBras · 30/06/2019 09:39

Oh, and from what I've already seen on Twitter about Pride Lancaster - what happened to those lesbians peacefully holding banners was lead by a ver young man of the "G" variety.

The G has betrayed the L at Pride.

OrchidInTheSun · 30/06/2019 09:36

Ah Bespin I've noticed this as a new tactic. Fake lesbians to swell the numbers. Its weird because I have noticed you complaining about trans allies who aren't trans. In fact in your post you specifically mention lesbians who support trans rights. How do you know they're all lesbians too ?

ZebrasAreBras · 30/06/2019 09:35

Pride has shown itself to be unsafe for lesbians, unless they're willing to centre the mighty penis. Which lesbians, er, don't and won't.

Pride wants these pesky female homosexuals (the L in the LGBT) to go away, so that they can all celebrate the T. The T still haven't stopped going on about Lesbians leading the Parade in London last July - so scandalous was it for lesbians to lead the Pride Parade. And why is that? Because Lesbians don't think that lesbians have penises.

Pride has completely forgotten what it is, and who it is for.

HorsewithnoPissToTake · 30/06/2019 09:05

Presumably, they out themselves as people to avoid in future.

Thank you for avoiding lesbians.

It would be awful for them to have you nearby.

NeurotrashWarrior · 30/06/2019 08:44

What I suspect will happen is there will be 8-10 actual lesbians stood with banners while a large number of possible not all actual lesbians and other LGBT people stand in front of them blocking *their message. Because at pride there are a far larger number of possible not all actual lesbians who support trans rights than don't as is repeated every time you do this at a pride event.

Call me old fashioned, but people who want to avoid lesbians are homophobes. A load of silly made up nonsense about gender can’t hide that I’m afraid

This.

Well, you've successfully outed yourself as a bigoted homophobe.

feelingverylazytoday · 30/06/2019 07:48

PS good luck sisters !

What, you avoid people who tell the truth? OK then...

HandsOffMyRights · 30/06/2019 07:42

Thank you OP - I'll be watching this thread.

I'm sorry you have to do this in 2019 and that such homophobia has barged its way on to this thread too.

Respect and admiration from one woman to others.
