Oh the irony! Watch the woke folk implode with self-righteous indignation!

Karma?

The LGBTQIA+++*! umbrella has included heterosexuals (actual heterosexuals or otherwise) ever since the addition of the T, anyway.

Frankly Rohit is sounding more than a little transphobic, suggesting that a straight man could not represent the community.

became apparent to me that Boris Fucking Johnson will be the next prime minister of the united kingdom, with no effective opposition

I can't even ...

RedTrek · 28/06/2019 11:51

Oh please please let the man elected come out and say he identifies as one of the letters from the alphabet soup. I'd love to see if Rohit is capable of swallowing his indignation and being nice and inclusive when it's his opportunities and representation for his demographic being stolen.

I bet he isn't!

placemats · 28/06/2019 11:50

Not forgetting this country will soon have Boris 'TURD' Johnson at the helm of the Hesperus.

barelove · 28/06/2019 11:48

Just catching up on this thread. F*cking hilarious Grin
So happy that ACCEPTANCE WITHOUT EXCEPTION has come round to bite Rohit on his bum!

(Sidles off to look up what schadenfreude means)

AlunWynsKnee · 28/06/2019 11:45

Singa "So there shouldn't be a heterosexual person in an LGBTQ+ role."

See now this is where I can't work out what is going on. If someone is, say, a furry adult baby and has sex with a person who is or identifies as the opposite sex then do they qualify for LGBTQ+ even if they're heterosexual. Or is heterosexual shorthand for only likes vanilla sex in the missionary position with a person who is the opposite sex? If a man cross dresses and has sex with his wife is that heterosexual or not?

I'm not having a go at you BTW but that jumped out at me as something that I can't get my head around.

placemats · 28/06/2019 11:45

self identified according under the Stonewall umbrella and that enabled him to get elected

ACCEPTANCE WITHOUT EXCEPTION

The Conservative party is just as bad though: Introduction of Section 28, Penny Mordant and that cringing speech by May.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 28/06/2019 11:36

Are not ate. Sun causing glare on my phone 🙄

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 28/06/2019 11:28

Well st least this straight man is not pretending to be something he's not unlike some we could mention who ate both male and straight but to point it out gets you deleted.
I do love karma.

TheBigBallOfOil · 28/06/2019 11:15

I have to be grateful to Creasy and the other shit faced quislings sympathising with this tosser. They are the only people who can still make me feel good about being a member of the Conservative party.
Unbelievable as it is, unjustifiable though it is, up against a Labour Party disappearing up its own fundament over this crap, we can still win.

CaveMum · 28/06/2019 11:13

Stella Creasy is, rightly, getting a pasting on Twitter for offering her support and to take the matter further.

Just being a part-time crossdresser would get a person under the T umbrella - no need to ‘identify’, just be in ‘girlmode/en femme’ the last Friday of the month.

Look at Eddie Izzard. All he does is paint his nails and wear a beret, and he seems to think that’s enough to be eligible for an AWS.

(presumably his gas bill still reads Eddie?)

Popchyk · 28/06/2019 11:06

He's probably gender-fluid.

He was a woman last night for a couple of hours and then a man again now.

Works for Philip Bunce.

Apollo440 · 28/06/2019 11:01

Surely the guy just needs to identify as a woman and that will make him a lesbian in the same way that LM is a lesbian. Problem solved. She will still be white though, so perhaps she could push the boundaries and identify out of that too.

DuMondeB · 28/06/2019 10:58

Is this person definitely not LGBTQI+ or is Rohit just claiming so because he’s pissed off at losing?

Having read both speeches/statements, only Rohit’s opponent seems to have a decent grasp of the actual boring grunt work that comes with a CLP Officer role, not surprised they were elected 🤷‍♀️

EweSurname · 28/06/2019 10:51

Ha, I was blocked by Shamir Shami for asking why women didn't deserve equality in response to his tweet saying TWAW etc and I've seen he's retweeted Rohit.

Singasonga · 28/06/2019 10:41

I completely agree that those roles should be for representation of the groups they're intended for. So there shouldn't be a heterosexual person in an LGBTQ+ role.

BUT... T isn't the same thing as sexual orientation. And Q means all sorts, much of which has little to do with sexual orientation. And if you're Bi but have been in an opposite sex marriage for 20-odd years, can you still represent the L & G, or should you step aside for someone who's outwardly in a same sex relationship?

Honestly, the expansion of the Stonewall umbrella has really confused the hell out of things. At this rate, they're literally representing anyone who feels like a bit of an outsider for some sexually-related reason, regardless of how they'd be viewed by others.

misscockerspaniel · 28/06/2019 10:39

Give this allegedly straight man a medal. Anyone taking bets as to how long before he is ousted by the sanctimonious hypocrites?

DickKerrLadies · 28/06/2019 10:36

I blame having to rewrite a post to avoid falling foul of the monitors [waves]

DickKerrLadies · 28/06/2019 10:35

Sorry that makes no sense. Blush

DickKerrLadies · 28/06/2019 10:33

I find it interesting how some of his supporters on twitter are complaining about people mentioning 'trans people' in women's posts and not 'transwomen'.

It's one thing being a massive hypocrite, it's another thing when you can see that they know it and are trying to obfuscate.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 28/06/2019 10:32

What's this person's colour got to do with it as well?

Exactly. If he was gay, but white, would Rohit still have a problem?? Race has nothing to do with this role and it’s frankly appalling he’s allowed to say that.

ZebrasAreBras · 28/06/2019 10:29

Stella Creasey - shame on you and the whole Labour Party.

"My heart goes out to you" and "here's my email address" !

That's it Stella - pander to the men again. Shoved women under the bus though, didn't you?

PencilsInSpace · 28/06/2019 10:21

Shit like this is why satire is dead.
