I'm from Ireland, and people from the older generation, my Dad included, have told me that the priest on Sunday mass, would name the people who had not gone to confession the week before and the ones who didn't pay into the collection box. Confession, for those who don't know, is where you sit in a dark box and tell the priest all your sins so that you can be forgiven by Jesus.
Anyway, the shaming of those 8 parents and their kids in that woman's thread reminded me of that.

But who is funding her job and post?I

Quote from that Twitter post:
Today I'm delivering LGBT+ at a school in East London as part of my new @LondonFire** Equalities Job.

Why should the Fire and Rescue Service be funding gender propaganda in schools?

I mean, why? Really?

Are they about to start distinguishing between stereotypes, when they are needed for vehicle collisions or burning buildings?

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 23/06/2019 00:04

This went well for her. I'm hoping her probation meeting is a similar car crash.

OccasionalKite · 22/06/2019 23:54

Oh gods, is it the last week of school term or thereabouts, so someone has sorted their child a job doing a fire and rescue service Twitter account?

I mean, that's what it reads like.

Iggypoppie · 22/06/2019 23:49

It says on her LinkedIn that she's been in the job 1 month.

If she’s been there less than two years the best thing the Fire Service could do would be to let her go. We are living in times of unprecedented austerity and the fire brigade are going into schools to deliver LGBT lessons?!? fair enough going into schools to tell children not to play with matches or play with fireworks etc but this is absolute insanity.

OccasionalKite · 22/06/2019 23:24

That has to be someone taking the piss, surely?
Gender ideology is sod all to do with our publicly-funded Fire and Rescue Services.

Popchyk · 22/06/2019 23:21

I imagine that the lesson concentrated on the brave and stunning Fireman Pam.

Oh what a big hose you have, Pam.

GCAcademic · 22/06/2019 23:19

I see from that Twitter thread that Lucy Masoud has left the fire service. Does anyone know why? Was it because of their implementation of self-ID?

OccasionalKite · 22/06/2019 23:18

Oh, ffs,
Who, exactly, is paying for this particular version of "Equalities"?

ALittleBitofVitriol · 22/06/2019 23:17

Oh yes, it totally makes me feel reassured when activists can't respect parents and bitch about them on Twitter...

terfsandwich · 22/06/2019 23:10

Words fail me. She's rewritten the job role to indoctrinate children.

hoteltango · 22/06/2019 23:06

AlwaysComingHome - nice one! Grin

Voice0fReason · 22/06/2019 23:06

How is this anything to do with the fire service?
They should be doing workshops on fire safety!

AlwaysComingHome · 22/06/2019 23:00

When my house is on fire maybe I should just call Mermaids and cut out the middle ma’am.

OvaHere · 22/06/2019 22:47

Bloody hell. Is it really getting to the point where we have to question the remit of every organisation that steps into a school?

What next? A Yas Kween! Drag tutorial by the RNLI. Hmm

Antibles · 22/06/2019 22:42

Such a very good point popchyk

Yes, massive overreach by a fire brigade. Shouldn't they be talking about, you know, fire safety?

Has London Fire Brigade been given a large dollop of cash by the trans juggernaut to do this?

ImGenderfree · 22/06/2019 22:40

The majority of responses on twitter are critical of this though - maybe the tide is turning

truthisarevolutionaryact · 22/06/2019 22:39

I'm sure the school are thrilled that she's calling out their parents on twitter - because schools do that all the time... Hmm

Yet again, someone pushing their own agenda being given access to children in schools and clearly showing the world that that they have not the slightest interest in them - kids are just a passive audience for their ego.

hoteltango · 22/06/2019 22:31

It's a gross misuse of Fire Brigade money. Worse is if she goes in wearing uniform, because that implies authority.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 22/06/2019 22:31

Wtf? I'd withdraw my child too. I did withdraw my year 7 dd from the week long trans bollox at school earlier this year and will do so every year as it's a yearly event. The large rainbow flag flying outside the school so it's all you focus on as you approach gives me the rage. Yet they have pupils calling each other gay as an insult so I don't think their LGBTQ+ weeks are working too well. Or maybe they've pushed people to be less tolerant because they are fed up of all the trans shit being forced down their necks.

ZuttZeVootEeeVro · 22/06/2019 22:24

I agree with questioning why the London fire brigade are running gender diversity programs in schools.

And why were they told that some children were withdrawn?

Popchyk · 22/06/2019 22:24

"Who is funding this?"

Us.

jay55 · 22/06/2019 22:22

I thought the fire service were massively stretched and suffering horribly from austerity measures.
Who is funding this?

Christ. This tells the story.

"those 8 kids have the potential to be WONDERFUL future LGBT allies and they have been prevented from becoming that by their parents".

Because what is the worth of a person if they are not a trans ally? And poor Abby being deprived of her future allies. Abby is the real victim here.

And utterly unprofessional to be talking about those parents on Twitter.
