Convicted paedophile lusts over Desmond (the amazing one) [trigger warning for obvious reasons]

Tom O'Carroll, former chair of PIE, has written a piece saying how sexy he finds Desmond. I note that our old friend Peter Tatchell is tagged too.

But of course there's nothing wrong or weird with a kid dressing up and dancing in gay clubs. Hmm

At least he's not pretending it's not sexualising childhood I suppose

Again; would a girl be photographed like that?

Also,

That blog. What fresh hell is this???

Desmond’s Converse shoes publicity image bothered me - the corset top thingy he’s wearing is clearly much too big - it emphasises his smallness, and that he doesn’t fit in the adult world.

I assumed this must be satirical but I just checked the blog out and it seems genuine (at least as far as I can tell after spending five minutes on it):

Judging from the number of comments, he seems to have a lot of enthusiastic supporters.

Yes Always I think most of us have the 'Carrie from Homeland' feeling from time to time!

NeurotrashWarrior · 16/06/2019 15:04

"Have you been to a night club?" They ask him.

AlwaysComingHome · 16/06/2019 15:03

There are times when I picture all this insanity coming together like the walls of a crazy person covered in enigmatic scribblings on post-it notes, newspaper clippings, and photos linked together with bits of red strings.

calpop · 16/06/2019 15:01

poor Desmond. He seems much, much younger than the 11y olds i know.

NeurotrashWarrior · 16/06/2019 14:58

Desmond was filmed with Michael Alig in front of a painting with a child's feet and the words 'rohypnol' on it.

KF say his half sibling was taken into care.

OvaHere · 16/06/2019 14:55

I was just going to post that DuMonde

I had to read the first couple of paragraphs a couple of times to figure out whether it was satire.

NeurotrashWarrior · 16/06/2019 14:53

Let's remind ourselves of how the bbc promote Desmond.

www.facebook.com/bbcthree/videos/813299582349969?s=623598022&v=e&sfns=mo

I don't have confirmation but I did read in an article that his parents have referred to him being on the autistic spectrum.

He certainly uses phrases that I find echolaic (ie he's copying phrases he's heard but not necessarily fully understanding them, a common autistic trait in children) and this was what struck me the first time I saw him.

So there are added issues in that he is potentially extra vulnerable to adult manipulation and abuse as he may find social interaction and communication nuance and boundaries extra hard to understand, especially if those boundaries have been blurred for him already.

DuMondeB · 16/06/2019 14:52

This one is actually satire, but it’s increasingly hard to tell these days.

Always yes, I've not checked but I'm pretty sure this is the guy that Edward Lord thinks is a hero.

That's Edward Lord who wants to let men into all female facilities run by the city of London, which is a lot of things, including the hampstead ponds.

And Edward lord whose partner meg_john something, contributed to a website aimed at sex Ed for teens, that a penis and a clitoris are basically the same except for size, with most people falling somewhere in the middle (!!!), and has worked collaboratively a lot with someone who believes that pedophiles are the most oppressed sexuality.

AbeFroman · 16/06/2019 14:47

This is fake, surely? There is no way this could be real.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 16/06/2019 14:44

On what planet is this ok?

NeurotrashWarrior · 16/06/2019 14:42

Imagine a prepubescent little girl, dancing in front of adult males, and adult males tucking notes into her bikini bottoms. And someone writing how lovely for a little girl to be feeling sexy and making men feel sexy.

Exactly. We need to keep repeating this.

I am starting to say the same regarding drag in some instances; eg drag queen story time. Would the librarian dress as they do to read a story? Quelle point?

Someone stop the planet I want to get off.

AlwaysComingHome · 16/06/2019 14:38

A quick check on KF to make sure they are covering it informs me that Desmond has a sister (a female one) who was taken into care and has made allegations of abuse.

Also, O’Connell’s blog is on Wordpress, a platform that bans ‘deadnaming’.

So you can’t state biological and historical fact without being banned but you can openly promote paedophilia.

Good to know their priorities.

2BthatUnnoticed · 16/06/2019 14:37

Lass it’s hard to know - the adults around him certainly seem to be sexualising him. Hard to believe his parents think it’s all harmless. He is so young, maybe for him it is all just fun dressing up etc (one can hope)?

I just wanted to be clear that the quote was not from Desmond himself, but from an adult projecting sexual thoughts on to him.

Michelleoftheresistance · 16/06/2019 14:35

And this is a case in point of why the words are so fucking important

When you strip this down to men openly perving on little boys

men demanding to enter women's spaces and be with them as they undress, shower, toilet

men demanding to counsel women after rapes and give them smear tests whether or not those women consent

men demanding that lesbians sleep with them and learn to accept straight sex

it's very different to all the confusion and screening that the word 'transwoman' or 'transgirl' allows. Society has been massively played by some linguistic trojan horses.

Michelleoftheresistance · 16/06/2019 14:30

Imagine a prepubescent little girl, dancing in front of adult males, and adult males tucking notes into her bikini bottoms. And someone writing how lovely for a little girl to be feeling sexy and making men feel sexy.

Most fathers of little girls would become homicidal at this point.

The gay/trans thing is being used as a shield to justify and validate wholly inappropriate sexual behaviour. We've been pointing this out for years. They're getting more and more overtly confident, and isn't it funny that there's a pattern in sexual offenders that they start with a few minor offences, pushing at the boundaries, and get more and more confident as they get away with it.

This is happening in plain sight.

And it's fucking homophobic. Normal men don't perve on children regardless of their sexual orientation, stop pretending that's an excuse. Normal parents don't expose their children to this kind of shit. And normal safeguarding would have stamped on this and started child in need proceedings. Being trans means this kid is being repeatedly failed and deprived of equal safeguarding under law because that word does things to adults' common sense.

This is what happens when you make a sacred fetish of a minority group.

AudacityOfHope · 16/06/2019 14:28

Jesus fucking christ. I don't have a clue what to say to this. They're getting bolder every day they go unchallenged aren't they.

AlwaysComingHome · 16/06/2019 14:28

Is this the guy Edward Lord tweeted was a ‘hero’ or am I thinking of some other paedophile?

FermatsTheorem · 16/06/2019 14:28

Bleurgh.
