Sarah Phillimore has reported the NSPCC to the charities commission, as they refused to confirm that either the allegations made about wanking@work are false or that they are investigating matter.

As she says, this is another Oxfam or Kids Company waiting to happen. Thank you Sarah for devoting your expertise to this.

Well done Spero Flowers

Melroses · 16/07/2019 00:36

Thank you for your good work and your update.

I too have found the NSPCC behaviour in this worrying, especially the minimising, and it is particularly worrying that they are supposed to be the experts fighting for children and they behave this way.

Wine Gin Cake Flowers but maybe not all at the same time to you, Spero!

HandsOffMyRights · 15/07/2019 23:19

Thanks Spero. This would not have happened without you shining that light.

nonsenceagain · 15/07/2019 23:17

Thanks so much. Does anyone know what happened to the wanking at work man?

RubyViolet · 15/07/2019 23:16

plattercake · 15/07/2019 22:38

Great work and thank you :)

Mamello · 15/07/2019 22:37

Thanks so much for this. I found the way the NSPCC tried to dismiss legitimate concerns over this matter very disturbing and they need to be called to account. Thanks you so much for taking this on.

AlessandraAsteriti · 15/07/2019 22:04

Thanks for this! Being proactive and pursuing all of this is the only way. I am currently pursuing a complaint with Stonewall, and ready to escalate to CC if it gets nowhere with Stonewall. As I expect.

PierreBezukov · 15/07/2019 22:04

Just reading this now - well done spero. Keep up the good work.

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/07/2019 22:00

Thank you for this Spero.

ZebrasAreBras · 15/07/2019 21:37

Well done, spero.

Worrying indeed that it was seemingly your actions that forced them into this - sounds like they were trying to brush it under the carpet until you intervened.

NoCureForLove · 15/07/2019 21:35

Really well done.

Popchyk · 15/07/2019 21:33

Thanks, Spero.

You have forced them to take action. Well done.

OvaHere · 15/07/2019 21:33

Brilliant. Well done!

truthisarevolutionaryact · 15/07/2019 21:33

That's excellent news. It was very worrying that they initially minimised such an awful situation.
Well done for being so determined

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/07/2019 21:30

Well done. Thanks for pursuing this.

Spero · 15/07/2019 21:27

July 15 update as promised. Really pleased to have email today from NSPCC who made their own referral to the Charities Commission, recognising the seriousness of the situation. I am reassured by this. Hopefully the CC will make some public statement - I will contact them if I don't here anything within a reasonable time. Thanks again for all your support.
