Really disturbing anti science and authoritarian, though I have some sympathy for the brainwashed teacher who is following policy twitter.com/lporiginalg/status/1139572227307794432?s=19

I’m not entirely convinced by the “there are only two genders” actually as gender is a social construct there can be a million of them. But I know what he means.

This shows he's already been brainwashed enough not to have the language to express clearly what he means. It shows his ability to argue in favour of reality has already been compromised. But despite that he did stand up for reality even if he didn't have the confidence to use the right words.

If Murray had shown it to the head teacher he would have had the recording seized and the matter covered up. If you don’t want to be professionally embarrassed don’t spout shit in class.

If you don’t understand a subject, don’t fucking teach it.

This reminds me of the Lindsay Shepherd Case.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 14/06/2019 22:03

Scary. I really wish people would get the hang of saying “sex” when they mean sex, rather than saying gender. It’s causing a lot of confusion. Murray meant sex, but he was saying gender which is what was causing the problem, because the teacher was right in that there are oodles of genders (because genders are made up according to the individual who is deciding what theirs is). But Murray meant sex. He needs to say sex.

I’m very uncomfortable about a teacher being filmed like this (and shared on sm). But I’m extremely uncomfortable about what training/brainwashing that middle aged teacher has gone through to make him speak in that way.

But would the headteacher have believed that the science teacher was wrong? They would probably have also followed the party line. The student is in a no win situation - by putting it on line then the pressure they are under to conform cannot be disputed.

nauticant · 14/06/2019 22:01

Without the filming and the sharing then it didn't happen.

It did happen. I want people to know that it did happen. Because the knowledge that it happened will benefit society.

Janleverton · 14/06/2019 22:01

I’m uncomfortable with phone use in school andglad that my dcs schools take a very hard line on it (removed in morning and out in secure locker at one of them, the other involves confiscation if seen and the parent has to make an appointment with HOY to get phone back). I also think it’s unfair not to pixelate the teacher’s face. An audio might have worked just as well.

That said - it is shocking that either a) the teacher is wholeheartedly embracing stupid dishonest presentation of multiple sexes/genders or b) has been placed in a position where the party line needs to be toed in imparting unscientific guff like this.

Exqueezeme · 14/06/2019 21:57

Whatever the teacher is or isn't saying it is wrong to secretly film a member of staff. If Murray did film to act as proof he should have only shown it to the head teacher to prove the teacher was wrong. Sharing over social media is not appropriate.

Awning10 · 14/06/2019 21:56

Murray was filming and goading the teacher, knowing he was going to post on social media. The teacher was in a lose/lose situation.

RedToothBrush · 14/06/2019 21:53

Looks like the Stasi are out to silence Murray. Bad Murray isn't allow to speak his reality.

I'm sorry. I've lived this.

Its fucking with your mind. Teachers duty should always be not to do that.

littlbrowndog · 14/06/2019 21:52

It’s in Scotland we don’t have gcse

Awning10 · 14/06/2019 21:52

Yes. I would like teacher's opinions on being filmed in class and posted on social media.

nauticant · 14/06/2019 21:51

Murray had better tread carefully

Yes, that's definitely the lesson to learn from this. Murray must learn to be obedient. If someone in authority tell Murray to state a falsehood, Murray must do so and not ask any questions.

RedToothBrush · 14/06/2019 21:51

You can not lie to children.

That's gaslighting. Aka abuse.

Redshoeblueshoe · 14/06/2019 21:50

So that's why you have started another thread on The Staffroom board.

Awning10 · 14/06/2019 21:50

I agree with what Murray is saying but don't agree with him filming and posting on social media.

Awning10 · 14/06/2019 21:47

You cannot film teachers and post on social media.

Redshoeblueshoe · 14/06/2019 21:46

Wow so 2 people on here actually think Murray is the bad one here
Fucking hell Shock

SpinsterOfArts · 14/06/2019 21:43

If the student hadn't filmed it but had just described what happened, we'd have got the predictable 'it probably didn't happen like that', 'all students lie about why they got told off at school' and so on.

Now we have the evidence. And it's very chilling.

Exqueezeme · 14/06/2019 21:42

Hhm...Murray had better tread carefully. Filming staff like this is a serious thing and I wouldn't be surprised if disciplinary action would be taken.
I think as teachers we should not be subjected to secret filming... it is an abuse.

Piss off SNP.

Indeed .. one does have to wonder at why the SNP government, led by Nicola Sturgeon, wants or needs to corrupt the minds of Scottish children and young adolescents.

FermatsTheorem · 14/06/2019 21:38

- you could argue that it was the student that was bullying

You could argue that, if you felt like talking complete bullshit.

Given the state of censorship and even police harassment and vexatious litigation directed at anyone who dares to question the authority and teaching of the holy genderist office, I'd film it if only to have evidence that I had remained polite and respectful throughout the encounter in case I ended up in court or had to fight expulsion from school.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 14/06/2019 21:37

Do we know that the teacher is a science teacher? A science teacher would be talking "sex" not "gender" surely? (although maybe has been reading Edexcel GCSE biology papers....)

truthisarevolutionaryact · 14/06/2019 21:36

What a bloody awful piece. But it shoes just how far this insanity has got - punishing a child for stating the truth.
