Owen may be reading this, but what about bosses at the Guardian?
Like it or not, Owen's "forward" position means he has become, to many, the face of the Guardian. And it is a seriously unattractive, misogynistic, face.
I was never a subscriber but used to read it daily. I gave up a few years back, essentially when Corbyn became Leader of the Opposition, and the Guardian adopted a full-on, rather preachy, Momentum, approach. Though I still read the sport and the occasional feature.
No more. I find the Owen Jones misogyny offensive. I do not read newspapers for whom this is mainstream, indeed admiral.
(I doubt it will worry OJ for a moment. I am one of those people who barely exist in his woke world, and certainly don't matter.)
