Attempts to cancel Michelle Moore talk happening

Michelle Moore is due to give a talk at a Quaker House in Sheffield on the 11th June. Attempts are being made to get the event cancelled with the usual cries of transphobia and hate group Here's a link twitter.com/michelemooreEd/status/1135953779881369601?s=19

Ha ha don't worry it wasn't anything too exciting. Just to say that I had to dash straight after the talk, but if I'd known there was going to be a pub trip I'd have stuck around! And hope to meet you one day as I'm fairly local to Sheffield Smile

It was an excellent talk, but sad too, to think of all those young lives marked forever 😫

I looked at the listing for this. I was surprised they said the venue, rather than releasing details a few hours before. I also thought it was really good that sheff feminist network were hosting because their Web site is quite woke and makes a point of saying their feminism includes tw. So these are the audiences which would benefit from hearing mm talk.

The more they scream that people are not allowed to speak, the more people want to speak. The more they use tactics like this, the more people realise the issue and peak. Its odd that they don't seem to have clicked onto this yet.

For anyone in North East England - Michele Moore is speaking in Newcastle at Tyneside Irish Centre on Thursday 13th June.

The Irish Centre have hosted 2 previous meetings for us - Defend Women's Rights NE & Cumbria.

The are brilliant - and there's no way they will cave in to intimidation. They usually get a few phone calls from TRAs - but they just tell them that they're welcome to attend the meeting if they wish - which of course they don't :-) In which case they can shove off!

Hmm - they can have their meetings and we don't make any protests or try to close down the meeting and if there is a gathering of more at least two GC women, on or off chairs, this is to be crushed.

Nope, not having that! Surprisingly, these days women know that they don't have to do as men and a few drinkers of Kool-Aid tell them.

Michelle Moore will no more be silenced that I will.

Let's hope the Quakers in Sheffield don't cave... The Friends Meeting Houses are run by different people in each location.

I did post a notice with full details of this meeting earlier so it would have been useful to have this info added to that.

Not that many seemed interested in attending!

Yes, they did - with just minutes to go before the meeting was due to start. Best try and scout alternative locations just in case.
