“These are not our crimes”. Male violence being recorded as female.

This is from New Zealand but the same thing is starting to happen in the UK. We all know that males commit a much higher proportion of violent crimes than women do yet it’s now being both recorded and reported as female crimes. This bullshit has to stop!

Domestic violence is our shame.

Yes it is. I’m a New Zealander too and a victim of domestic violence as a child. The police were beyond hopeless... NZ is an absolute hell hole if you’re a woman, if you’re a Māori woman it’s even worse.

These are not our crimes.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 04/06/2019 22:50

Record crimes by sex and stupid gender then. The emerging picture will be enlightening I think.

Yeahnahyeah · 04/06/2019 22:45

For PP re NZ strangulation law. (5 men per day charged in our country of less than five million. Domestic violence is our shame.

Equality Act 2010 Schedule 3 sub section 6 also has application when it comes to "mixed sex" wards in hospitals. [Note that "mixed gender" wards in hospitals has zero relevance in UK law.]

The NHS, in such circumstances is in breach of the law and should be sued as such!

JackyHolyoake · 04/06/2019 22:18

Fundamentally, current UK law protects all females from ever being subjected to all and any treatment by "gender reassigned" people in all circumstances where there is the expectation of and demand for single sex spaces or treatment by females against their consent.

Equality Act 2010, Schedule 3, subsection 6 is sometimes overlooked:

(6) The condition is that—

(a) the service is provided for, or is likely to be used by, two or more persons at the same time, and

(b) the circumstances are such that a person of one sex might reasonably object to the presence of a person of the opposite sex.

This is especially relevant with reference to the provision of toilets, changing rooms etc for public use.

GreasedPiglet · 04/06/2019 22:13

I agree MsJeminaPuddleduck - Not our crimes just works for some reason.

JackyHolyoake · 04/06/2019 22:06

Women's sports and crime will be the first 2 areas to be rolled back.

With regard to women's prisons UK law is already explicit about exemption from gender reassignment and or sex discrimination, via Schedule 3 [Services and public functions: exceptions], section 27 [Single-sex services] subsection 5b:

(5)The condition is that the service is provided at a place which is, or is part of—

(a) a hospital, or

(b) another establishment for persons requiring special care, supervision or attention.

Prisons are establishments for persons requiring special care, supervision or attention [as are all health services and all premises from which these services are delivered].

Women's rape crisis centres, domestic violence refuges, etc can also make use of this exception. It is worth reading the entirety of Section 27 of Schedule 3: www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2010/15/schedule/3

Further, when it comes to employees in all such services, Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 comes into play: Work: exceptions

Part 1: Occupational requirements: General

(3) The references in sub-paragraph (1) to a requirement to have a protected characteristic are to be read—

(a) in the case of gender reassignment, as references to a requirement not to be a transsexual person (and section 7(3) is accordingly to be ignored);

This means that all employment situations where female only [ie: women, as defined in UK law] employees are required to deliver services to female only service users [ie: women as defined in UK law] are exempt from any claims of discrimination, provided that any recruitment process is explicit that it is restricted to females only in pursuance of Equality Act 2010, Schedule 3, section 27 [Single sex services] and section 28 [Gender reassignment] and Schedule 9, section 1 [Occupational requirements].

MsJeminaPuddleduck · 04/06/2019 21:54

Jackie - I think the 'our' is more powerful than explicitly mentioning 'women' (particularly now its an 'opt in' category)

We know who we are (and actually so does everyone else really)

Apollo440 · 04/06/2019 21:39

I think TRAs have overplayed their hand here. Women's sports and crime will be the first 2 areas to be rolled back. And once they can be treated differently to women in prisons and sports then the TWAW will start to unravel in other areas where sex is important. 'TWAW except for sports and prisons and crime statistics' just doesn't have the same ring to it Smile

JackyHolyoake · 04/06/2019 21:31

#NotWomensCrime

Beachcomber · 04/06/2019 21:27

"Women do it too" has always been the position of your basic misogynist.

And they just love statistics which back up their position.

This sort of bullshit, like most of trans ideology, is simply old fashioned misogyny in a new sparkly outfit.

Not our crimes is a great slogan to get behind. I'm with you.

FannyCann · 04/06/2019 21:21

There was an article here recently about the impact of the new law in New Zealand making strangulation a criminal offence. Has anyone got the link please, I can't find it.

Michelleoftheresistance · 04/06/2019 21:07

These are not our crimes.

No, they're not, and that's a strong and memorable statement that needs to be part of a campaign.

JackyHolyoake · 04/06/2019 20:49

This will backfire on TRAs eventually. When the story breaks that these violent sex offences are being committed by transwomen the public are going to read that as ‘all’ transwomen are violent sex offenders

I suspect this may already be happening in a small way, from chats I have had with some of my neighbours who are lovely working class women ... and very straightforward, plain speaking women ... they don't trust such news reports at all. If they see a news report about a woman committing a sexual or violent offence they now think it is a man "pretending to be a woman", to use their words.

The Karen White situation changed their thinking a lot.

So much for Stonewall's "Acceptance without Exception" eh?

Stonewall made that bed; Stonewall can lie in it!

MsJeminaPuddleduck · 04/06/2019 20:44

'These are not our crimes' - I wholeheartedly agree - it's a really strong statement that we need here too. Well done Ani

Erythronium · 04/06/2019 20:35

They're not even trying to pretend to be women are they? Women don't arm ourselves with baseball bats, that's a man thing.

Erythronium · 04/06/2019 20:34

Why would they even bother recording crimes by sex if crimes by males are classified as having been committed by women?
Same with sex segregation in jails. Pointless if males are allowed in women's prisons.

The photographs accompanying that statement are so disturbing. These people are violent. Using lethal weapons is extremely frightening.

Thingybob · 04/06/2019 20:16

Transwomen consider themselves to be a separate category when it comes to recording things like homelessness, poverty and even being the victims of crime. So why do they suddenly become shy when it comes to recording these crime statistics?

AlwaysComingHome · 04/06/2019 19:59

This will backfire on TRAs eventually. When the story breaks that these violent sex offences are being committed by transwomen the public are going to read that as ‘all’ transwomen are violent sex offenders.

MenuPlant · 04/06/2019 19:53

Note it was still something like 1/1000 of the crimes men committed but still made headlines news...

MenuPlant · 04/06/2019 19:50

Always last year there were articles in the papers about massive rise in women committing sex offences

No idea what sort of women generally

But the number convicted of rape indicated jiggerypokery

So it has already happened

UK public have been told women are increasingly likely to be sex offenders, those stories will have been taken at face value.

Stupid thing is, if it was cunty women then it's a change that needs looking at. But, who can tell any more.

Morag96 · 04/06/2019 19:49

Agree These are not our crimes

MuthaFunka61 · 04/06/2019 19:47

JeezusFeckin'Christ!
That news report posted by @Destinysdaughter, this is beyond sickening.
It must be stopped

AlwaysComingHome · 04/06/2019 19:41

Even if we start identifying the crimes correctly right now we’ll never be able to backdate them.

Future generations are going to look back on the 2010s as the decade that ‘women’s’ crime spiked.

And those women not out breaking the law were breaking sports records instead.
